Jeff Stelling, Jason Mohammed & John Motson (Motson does the commentary so not sure if he counts, a real legend of the game though). John Motson is absolutely shite, nothing worse than turning on MOTD to hear him absolutely butchering every player's name. 'Dulla' Alli being a prime example. Dreadful.
ScouseFox Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 yeh theroux is a hero. would love to ring him up for a chat every time I was having a half shit day.
Webbo Posted 6 October 2016 Author Posted 6 October 2016 Katherine Ryan? Really? She's less funny than Shappi Korsandi.

I'll go with Jeff Stelling, Michael Portillo, Chris Tarrant and Eamonn Homes, although I think Terry Wogan must be the nicest guy ever to be on screen.

Claudia and Davina, along with Stacy Solomon, make up my Jewish fantasy foursome.
David Guiza Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Richard Osman seems like a genuinely nice bloke and an amusing tweeter also, aside from when he makes one of the many many references to having a brother in Suede.
Mark_w Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Pretty much everyone who had a recurring role in Blackadder seems very likeable, Bill Bailey too.

Alexander Armstrong is a lovely chap, met him at the Countryside festival.

I wouldn't trust Rick Stein with my daughter to be honest... I've heard that Phillip Schofield is a right obnoxious ****. He also shits anywhere but in a toilet.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 He's not on telly that much, but I think Rob Delaney is great. He just seems to love being silly all the time. I'm a huge fan of Catastrophe, too

isaidno Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Guy Martin. Met him before he was famous and he's a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

No. She's always self-deprecating and can take a joke at her expense. That easily puts her above 96% of the people on tv. Admittedly she can be a bit hyper ...though nowhere near as bad as Davina McCall. Think this thread is most interesting for revealing what qualities people consider "likeable". Katherine Ryan? ...well there goes western civilisation.

Alf Bentley Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 Portillo is a good call - and what a transformation, from one of the most unlikeable politicians to one of the most likeable presenters. Mind you, I'd be pretty likeable if someone paid me a wedge of cash to travel around the world visiting interesting places, having fun and chatting about it. He's usually got something interesting to say on This Week, too, whether or not I agree with it. Evan Davis seems a nice chap and Newsnight has massively improved since likeable, analytical Evan replaced that unlikeable, blustering self-parody Paxman. Alan Shearer is another man transformed on MOTD. I used to hate him being on, as he just spouted boring platitudes. Now, though, he speaks out and often has something interesting to say about football so I'm glad when he's on. Tomas Schaffenacker: Always cheers me up when he does the weather. Seems like a cheerful bloke who likes a laugh, but presents the weather in a clear, interesting way.....even if he's not as physically appealing as the likes of curvy Louise Lear, curvy Carol Kirkwood or girl-next-door Helen Willetts (I always imagine her getting a bit tipsy and charmingly giggly over a couple of glasses of wine). Davina McCall is probably not a likeable person at all, but I like to see her on-screen for reasons of pure lust (I have a thing for bold-as-brass curvy brunettes).
ScouseFox Posted 6 October 2016 Posted 6 October 2016 don't see him much any more but Simon Amstel always seemed like a great chap
