kingcarr21 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 After their heroics against Spurs in the title run in i have much more respect for West Brom and Tony Pulis. The beautiful man. Last season was a great game of football and i can see a similar game. Hopefully we will sneak it but i can see West Brom being tough to break down. I will go for a 1-1 draw
filbertway Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Hopefully we see the good version of our bi-polar team on Sunday. I imagine bringing in a couple of actual footballers for Schlupp and Amartey should do the trick. Shinj and King makes sense. Any news on Slim? No idea what the bench will look like but I imagine Gray training with the u13s and Chilwell wondering what the hell is happening in his life. Hamer or Bramley on the bench?

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 West Brom are a resolute side, well known as an organised unit. They've got quite a few good players. I think we'll edge it 1-0. Given the news about Schmeichel earlier, and analysing recent games, I'd look at going with this... 4-4-2 Zieler Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Albrighton Drinkwater King Musa Vardy Okazaki

brucey Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 West Brom are the side which are great at set pieces aren't they? Zielers shot stopping and distribution is great, but set pieces..........

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 To be honest I'd look at playing Gray for this one, but not sure what the situation is with him.
Guest Lako42 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 We wont be thrashing them so I would get that out of your head. Some people think we are now an established Barca like side. West Brom are a steady outfit and will be well organised. They are a danger from set pieces which will be our weakness. I see a close game which might not be so pretty.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Zieler Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Albrighton Drinkwater King Musa Mahrez or Shinji Slimani would like to see Gray given a chances but can't see it happening sadly .
MPH Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 SURELY these are the games for Grey to get a start? Give riyad a couple of games out of the team and give grey his chance!

Mahrez has been pretty much pants all season, we've got young Gray champing at the bit and nowhere near the first team. Funny how Ranieri went on about 'resting' players last night yet never seems to want to 'rest' Mahrez...

I know it is often a condition of a loan deal that a person must play regularly but i doubt Mahrez would have that written into his contract.... surely not?!?
Dan Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 We never ever beat these at home. Wouldn't be shocked if this goes the same way but I'll be optimistic and say 2-1 Leicester.

Funny how Ranieri went on about 'resting' players last night yet never seems to want to 'rest' Mahrez... took him off at half time vs united for a rest, didn't play him in the league cup (gray played instead...), rested him away at chelsea. probably rested riyad more than anyone else this season. as for the weekend, we should beat these with half a team. they're muck. we're good. we're at home. but we probs won't. can't believe this is on a sunday evening on the tele i'm going to be goosed out my brain and still plan on driving down for it
harpendenfox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 lots of brave talk about destroying West Brom on here. I admire the optimism, but lets not get all entitled about stuff. Yes we achieved something miraculous last season, but even then we didn't smash many teams (apart from City away obvs). Premier League wins are hard to come by, and I would be amazed if we smash West Brom. I also hope a slight feeling of entitlement doesn't start to take hold in the stands. We weren't very vocal at home to Copenhagen or Southampton, and a bit all over the place last night too, although that might simply have been a mixture of the beer and the cold. My point is we, as a crowd, need to be on our feet shouting and screaming as much as we can rather than simply waiting for us to destroy the likes of West Brom. Although our league form is a bit of a disappointment at the moment that's only when compared with last season. 11th is actually pretty good for us, and hopefully we can push upwards as the season progresses. And, of course, we have not conceded a goal in our first 4 games in the Champions League, something no other team has achieved in the history of the competition. Sure we are not in he strongest group ever, but as Man Utd are demonstrating as I write, it's not always easy this Europe stuff. This remains by far and away the best time to be a City fan in our history. Show your passion, shout, bounce, clap, whatever suits you, but do your little bit to help make the good times stay a while longer yet. Grateful thanks to the Union FS lads and lasses and those in L1 who do this already. I just think a few more of us need to stand up and be counted, literally.
foxesfan98 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Zieler Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Musa Okazaki Slimani Subs - Hamer, Hernandez, Amartey, Albrighton, Vardy, Gray, Ulloa
Gazza M Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 I see 3 or 4 changes. Kasper Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Albrighton King Drinkwater Marhez Okazaki Slimani Subs: Zieler, Hernandez, Amartey, Gray, Musa, Vardy, Ulloa
jammie82uk Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Stat time Leicester have won none of their last six home league games against West Bromwich Albion (D2 L4), last beating them at home in January 1994 (4-2). The Baggies have scored in all but one of their last 25 visits to face Leicester in league competition; this is a 0-3 defeat at Filbert Street in October 1987. West Brom have scored exactly twice in each of their last three Premier League games against Leicester, though they've failed to win any of them (D1 L2). Indeed, Leicester have conceded the first goal in each of those three games, coming from behind to draw or win each time. Salomon Rondon scored in the two Premier League meetings between these sides last season, opening the scoring on both occasions for WBA. Nacer Chadli has been involved in six of the eight goals that West Brom have scored since he made his debut for the club (four goals, two assists). Seven of the 10 goals that West Bromwich Albion have scored have come from set-pieces (70%), with five of these arriving from corner situations (50%) - both are league-highs. Leicester have won 11 of their 12 Premier League points so far this season at home (92%). Riyad Mahrez has scored just two goals and has no assists in his last 17 Premier League appearances (1350 mins). West Brom have the lowest average possession figure in the Premier League this season (35.4%), while Leicester have the fourth lowest (43.2%).
crazyleicester Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Zieler Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Musa Okazaki Vardy I think we will line up like that. The good news is WBA are playing with a bit more freedom and trying to attack. Chadli is the danger and Ive always liked Rondon who I think is a real handful. I wont be backing Leicester again after doing my nuts last night but I will predict a 3-1 home win which will include a Vardy double!
Harry96 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Chadli is apparently out, good news for us one of their few decent attacking players.
st albans fox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 going to be tough to defend against their set pieces. We would do well not to give cheap free kicks away.
Wymsey Posted 4 November 2016 Posted 4 November 2016 Okazaki and Slimani for me. Need physicality for these imo.
