Surprised both Lawro and Rick Astley reckon we'll be taking the points.

If we play like we did at Spurs we'll get something. I fear he won't risk Drinkwater and if that's the case we really will need to play 3 in the middle, or Okazaki at the very least.

Who's going to be the 3rd man in the middle if Drinky isn't playing?

Hmm, true. Could be Okazaki in a deeper position or could give Albrighton a go. Should be where Kapustka gets a go really but as he's playing right now for the 21s I imagine he isn't making the trip.

I momentarily forgot that we feature on Tuesday night v Club Brugge, which is another important game.

So in mind of that, I'd go with these two lineups for the respective fixtures; not sure about the readiness of Gray for tomorrow, and unsure if Drinkwater will be ready for Tuesday.

Watford (A)

Zieler

Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs

Albrighton King Amartey Gray

Vardy Slimani

Club Brugge (H)

Zieler

Hernandez Morgan Huth Fuchs

Mahrez Drinkwater Amartey Musa

Vardy Okazaki

With Vardy and Mahrez 17 goals off the pace so far this season compared to this stage last season hopefully it'll be their time to do something in the league. Lose this and its suddenly a very long way to 40 points.

Tough one for the striking positions. Watford have conceded the most headers in the league and are vulnerable from crosses, so Slim should play. But we're light in central midfield so Oka should play. But Vardy's just bagged and looked really good against Spain so he should play. Not sure what I'd go for in all honesty.

I know the CL isn't a foregone conclusion by any stretch but there's surely less need to rest for this Tuesday than for the previous 3 CL games.

I wouldn't risk Drinkwater tomorrow personally. I'd wait until he feels, and the management feel, he's 100%. He plays in every match (League and Europe) for us so it might be worth him having a bit of a break anyway, helping to refresh and rejuvenate himself.

I am honestly looking forward to a king/amartey midfield. For me the reason why king and amartey are not playing very good is Drinkwater. O.k. hold on a minute and listen to what I have to say. Drinkwater is a very good player. He is probably our player of the season so far. But he can not be the front man in the midfield. He is an old-school jack of all trades CM. Nothing wrong with that. A lot of good players are like him. But a jack of all trades is as good as his teammates allows him to be. In a midfield 2. It gets tricky. ( o.k I sound like an old record) but he needs a destroyer who can carry the ball up the field.(yes. I am talking about kantè). There are 2 type of players in this world. A player who can make his teammates better. And a player that is as good as his teammates. Drinkwater can't be the best CM in the team because that will hold him back. He needs a great player around him to alevate him to the next level. But king and amartey are the exact apposite. A big holding-midfielder with a box to box mid. It is the right formula for a successful 2 men midfield. This is just my opinion. I could be right. And I could be wrong. That was just me putting my two cents in it.

Amartey is not a defensive midfielder, attackers run of him and he never tracks his man. I'd like to see Amartey play a more advanced box to box role with liscene to do Kante esc dribbles up the field to start counter attacks.

He has  bricks instead of feet. He can't dribble or move the ball up. He will never be a box to box mid. But he can be trained to be a very good destroyer. He has the big body for that.

He doesn't sense danger and is always re-active instead of active. Matas goal springs to mind.

Woke up this morning and thought with the injuries being reported it's not looking good

Then I thought, might it be a blessing.

Players who haven't been regular might get a chance and we might get a formation that surprises us all

That's called Glass Half Full by the way
