I felt quite underwhelmed at the teams we drew in the group stages. Getting an English team in the champions league would confirm that we are cursed with bad luck when cup draws are made.

Just personal opinion in terms of a chance to go the furthest possible, yes a European team is much more exciting but it's also a complete unknown, at least we could plan and put a system in place a little more for Arsenal or City.

 

But I do completely understand the underwhelming point, i'm just looking at the ridiculous potential of reaching a CL Semi Final

because the original top 4, all their players, managers and fans all hated each other and were probably 4 of the best 5 or 6 sides in europe from about 05-10. 

 

if we played man city in a euro quarter final we'd probably lose by a couple of goals on aggregate and they'd probably rest half their squad for both legs and it'd be rubbish.

Yeah it would be horrific if we drew Man City but I used to love watching them in that era of about 2003-2010

won't find me going to Turkey it's a dangerous dump , Napoli I can vouch would be OK from my personal experiences , but if you go looking for issues in Napels they will find you and your issues and slice them out of you . no acting the big man on the pavement trampoline  or you could end up fed to the pigs

How many times have you been to Turkey?

 

 

Istanbul is one of the most incredible cities I have ever had the pleasure of travelling in, a beautiful place with lots to offer anyone with an ounce of open mindedness.

 

So actually, it probably isn't a destination for the average football fan at all.

Now we've won the group and the away leg being on the 14th-15th Feb has confirmed that il miss my wedding anniversary due to being away,mrs is hoping we get besiktas away but I'm hoping for Madrid,told her she can fly out with us and go shopping whilst I get on the piss,she can watch game in hotel whilst I'm at the bernabeau

The draw is on December 12th and I sincerely hope we get the 20th or 21st February so not to create family ructions at home during half term the previous week.
