As Group Leaders, does this mean we are guaranteed that the away leg will be the first match and therefore in February and not March?  I fear my kids are going on holiday at half-term without their Daddy.

Yes the away leg is first.

I think we'll go out whoever we draw but best chance will be Benfica or Leverkusen. As am unlikely to get a match ticket I'd like somewhere nice to visit. German or spanish team will be great. Hoping we're not on valentines week as prices might be up for flights and hotels.

I get the feeling we'll get Real Madrid.

I have been convinced ever since Slimani bagged v Porto that he's going to do another favour for his old club and sink Benfica, so it'll be them.

Wouldn't mind that.

Big enough team but i'd expect us to go through.

The first leg will be away on either Tuesday 14th February, Wednesday 15th February, Tuesday 21st February or Wednesday 22nd February. Either way, I cannot attend the away leg due to expecting a baby in early Feb so I really hope we get a nice tie and qualify to the Quarters so I get another go.

The home game is in March, again a choice of 4 dates in the middle of the month. These are announced hours after the draw on Monday 12th December, so we will know exact details that day.

As has been said we cannot draw an English team or Copenhagen/Porto (or a group winner of course). So we are likely limited to 5/6 teams. Leverkusen are guaranteed runners up and at the moment would be very favourable. However, they could find form by Feb/March. I think we need to avoid Dortmund/Real, Atletico/Bayern and probably Seville/Juve. Those teams would school us over two legs. Leverkusen, Benfica/Napoli/Besiktas would be nice.

One of those will be half term surely. Good news for my Dad and one of my mates if so. Will mean they finally get to do one of them.

Yes, one will be Leicester half term, the other will be rest of England half term (I believe Leicester always have the week before the rest).

Did you read the fact I cannot attend the away game? Otherwise I would not be choosing them, it was purely from a possibility of geting through perspective!

So.... I may as well be the first person to raise the subject of tickets....

Do we assume that those who purchased a 3 game package will have first dibs on the home leg? Then followed by ST holders, Gold, Silver and City members?

I should think it just goes STH, Gold, SIlver, City etc. However, there is a valid point for potentially selling to 3-game-package holders first. Who knows, sure we will find out very soon.

From something Jim put on twitter, this does not look to be the case - although as we know his hit rate can be quite poor for information. I doubt the club would risk angering STH despite the fact that they may have chosen to miss these ties in the hope of a later glamour tie.

Hmmmm it's a tricky one, I have to say i'd be angry if the order is ST, Members, 3 Game, General.

Fair for me would be ST, 3 Game, Members, General

Because then it is in order of the initial outlay before extra games costs are included.

As long as we shithouse several 1-0s with Kasper making worldies at the end and the crowd have panic attacks from 60 minutes onwards before we nick it with a Jeff stunner in Cardiff after 12% possession against Barcelona.

Last night marked the year to the day when I told my mate "Could you imagine if we actually ended up winning the Premier League?!". On the journey home after beating Newcastle to go top of the league.

Last night I told him "Could you imagine if we actually won the Champions League?!"

I genuinely believe we will make the semi-finals. :)

But winning it will be equivalent to aliens being found somewhere, would feel strange and totally unexpected.

If Lyon were to geg in at Sevilla's expense Id consider them the plum draw. Not far, great city, their new ground is massive so decent allocation and we can deffo have them over 2 legs. Otherwise Leverkusen or Benfica would be best.

I'm in agreement with you here. Those two (plus one) are the sides I'm hoping for.

Bye besiktas. benfica look likely to finish runners up, unless they can beat napoli at home, not sure who i would prefer, really need bayern to get a winner, much prefer atl madrid than bayern
