Milo Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 ...Except it's not at all effing funny, and it's getting more embarrassing by the week. I need reasons to be cheerful, anyone have any ideas on how to take some positives from the current run of form? And for what it's worth, I'd rather have a one handed Kasper in goal at the moment (and maybe my gran at centre half, just to inject a bit more pace than we currently have)

Milo Posted 3 December 2016 Author Posted 3 December 2016 Indeed...maybe the team should've done a collective Rosberg...

Will be worse than just spending time in the championship if we go down - we have just given every squad member a bumper new contract on mega wages...it'll be carnage

lgfualol Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Would be impressive to get relegated. Which one would be remembered more by the world, the season we won it amazingly, or amazingly getting relegated the season afterwards? The players don't know how good they've got it really, someone should tell them that 0 clubs will give them what we're paying unless they go to China.
harpendenfox Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Despite the evidence of the last few weeks, the future is unwritten. We just have to hope that Mendy and or Ndidi if he signs protect the defence and allow Drinky to create attacks. There is still a long way to go. We need to win 9 games. As hard as that seems at the moment, it is not impossible
Wymsey Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Need to move on as we're better with Drinkwater. Also, next weekend might not be as some expect - with 3 of their key players set to be banned.

They're sluggish and most of them look like they couldn't give a toss. They should be ashamed of themselves, it's just not good enough.

You speak sense my friend James and Mendy nearly there, that means two more options Drinkwater needs help and then let's have a go if no improvement. Really disappointed today though.......................Again
Webbo Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 We're still champions, it's not a laugh it's fact.Even if we are relegated nobody can take that away from us. I wouldn't swap last season for a couple of mid table finishes, fvck that.
Merging Cultures Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Becoming Champions clearly had nothing to with a guy setting up a club, from bottom to the top. /SSo often we heard how NP had a hand in every element of the club. Since his departure, we've lost key members of the backroom staff that he brought in, and a key member of our playing staff.Sure, the season before last we were luck to stay up. But, we did. And the team, back and front, had a spirit. They had an understanding. No one was bigger than the team. Band of brothers bollox.Pizza isn't going to bring these guys together now some are one mega contracts and everyone is competing with each other. And that isn't down to NP. He would not have given players such exorbitant salaries.

Fox92 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 There is nothing to suggest we're getting out of this. The people who claimed "we've got a winnable run of games" a few weeks back, what do you think now? We've played West Brom, Watford, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and took one point - and even then we didn't' deserve it. We could well be the first club in Premier League history (but not top flight history) to get relegated after winning the league. Honestly. Today was dreadful, yet again. Ranieri doesn't seem to know what to do. It's standard stuff he keeps doing - same team every week, like-for-like subs - we are in a relegation battle.
HankMarvin Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Experiencing last year makes the shit they are serving up even more painful to watch
noodles Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 thats football you gotta take the rough with the smooth, no point crying about it. Leicester city are not a top 4 club and probably never will be in my lifetime again. think we will come about 12th this season, still a long way to go.

I wouldn't swap last season for a couple of mid table finishes, fvck that. 18 months ago, if offered the choice of the title followed by relegation or a couple of mid-table finishes, how many would have taken the latter? Very few, I suspect. I wouldn't have swapped the title followed by relegation for a couple of second-place finishes! I'd prefer to avoid relegation, but there's still plenty of time to do that. Despite our atrocious form, we're not even in the bottom 3 yet. Re. @Fox92's point: Yep, nothing in our dismal performances to suggest we're "too good to go down", but there is something in our squad & management team to suggest that. Changes of tactics, formation, motivation and/or personnel are needed. Two or three players may need replacing if they've gone over the hill or lost their drive. But most of this squad and this manager won the title a few months back....a few changes are required, not a wholesale squad/management restructuring.
blue army 1988 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 It's getting pretty embarrassing. We should have looked to build on last season. Not spiralling down and out like it seems we are doing.

We are PL champions 2015-16 and the record books will forever show that. What I am sure you, me and everybody else wants is a side with commitment, passion and skill that plays like the champions of last year. We won't win it of course now but will earn the respect of other teams and fans. Relegation will meet confirm what many think, we were lucky. And we weren't!

Buzzell Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 People can take the piss all they want but what matters is that we spanked the league last year, no matter how shit we are this season.
