EnglishOxide Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Maybe Slimani and Vardy will click and become the new Shearer and Sutton? But maybe not.

However, you do realise that someone is bound to say something so mind-bogglingly cretinous that you're simply forced to log back in again just to abuse them. Do not waste that opportunity!

Nick Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Whatever happens tomorrow I think we should go 442 and let them take the game to us.

FoxFossil Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Good chance we will be in the bottom three before kick-off, so if that doesn't motivate a performance then we know what is to follow....
st albans fox Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Just now, FoxFossil said: Good chance we will be in the bottom three before kick-off, so if that doesn't motivate a performance then we know what is to follow.... Lining up and looking at yaya, silva, sterling etc and knowing you need to win to get out of the bottom three - not sure that would be enough to motivate. More like demotivate! We cant have prepared properly and I hold no hope out for this. Citeh will have spent most of the week preparing for this. I doubt they bothered to make any preps for Celtic and the players involved tomorrow probably spent mon thru yesterday working on plans for tomorrow. We havent been that lucky but we are the ones that need to prepare !! We aren't good enough to make it up as we go along

AyewJoking Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 i feel claudio wont want another thrashing so it will be 442 sitting deep and not getting closer than 30 yards away from their keeper.
desertfox2 Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Actually quietly confident about this. The kind of game we will win just to make all the other recent results all the more frustrating. Mahrez to turn up and have a blinder.
Dr The Singh Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Gonna miss this game, flying to Atlanta, but for the first time in years, Im glad I'm missing it
MCFC Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 City fan here and we're not overly optimistic either. We've had trouble putting away chances in recent weeks and I can see Vardy ripping our defence to shreds. All it takes is one long ball over the top for you to win a game, although without Kanté and Drinkwater he might not get such good service. We'll probably pack the midfield but might struggle without Fernandinho, but Aguero being out is no big dead- we've coped well with it before. Both City and Leicester played weak teams in midweek so this one will probably pan out differently. On the other hand we have the best away record in the league. Okazaki is the player I fear most from your side, but if Vardy and Mahrez got a hat-trick each in a 6-0 home victory, and that was their last goal and your last clean sheet of the season, then that would be the most typical City thing ever. I'm going with a 2-2 because neither team is likely to keep a clean sheet.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 I don't fancy our chances it must be said. I'm equally worried about the boo boys coming out. Things are tough now but it'll be a lot worse if we start getting on their backs. Each to their own of course, just hoping most fans give it the beans. Up the foxes

A lot of man city fans around me were absolutely fuming with it, but I put it down to a few day trippers getting tickets and having a few too many bevs before hand. I thought you were quite poor to be honest, but you played a lot of kids and just didn't seem to have the flow or intrinsic thinking to finish moves off. Celtic played well though with a near full strength side so didn't read too much in to the performance! Was a bit disappointed by Sane as well, I think he's class but just didn't turn up, and was Zabaletta playing in midfield?! Feared for my life a bit as well when I found out how many Celtic were around me. Couldn't believe the numbers they had in your end, lots of trouble around me in a few different direction! Great stadium though
Kevinparr71 Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Let's be fair no one gives us a chance but with my blue tinted lcfc glasses on I fancy 2-1 win
Ron Combo Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 It's gonna go either one of two ways. Either they'll rip us a new one 5-0 (or worse and more likely) or bizarrely we'll pull something out of the fire and get the three points 2-0. But then I have just put away the government's drinks guidelines (14 units in a week ) this evening. Onwards and downwards.

dannythefox Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Not looking forward to it at all I can here boos at full time already.
Dr The Singh Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Watching knocky playing, how I wish he still played for us
Callabinho Posted 9 December 2016 Posted 9 December 2016 Next two are make a break for Claudio. And I think we will lose both.

Great stadium though I thought the Celtic game was alright, about as good as I could hope considering the team we fielded. Clichy has regressed impressively this season and effectively lost us the game. Zabaleta was playing in CM for the first time this decade and actually did alright. Sané was good against Chelsea but hasn't settled in yet really, two assists is better than nothing though I suppose. And yeah, the Celtic fans do like to stir things up 3 minutes ago, Koke said: We are shocking mate. Absolute dreadful. Even without Aguero and Fernandinho you will spank us. Arsenal or Chelsea maybe, but this is a team who beat Barcelona 3-1 then drew at home to Middlesbrough four days later Nothing is guaranteed. We could dominate all 90 and then Kolarov scores an injury time own goal, or we could thrash you five or six nil, or you could thrash us. Depends which (man) City turn up really. Leicester have been way off the mark this season but I think that is in part due to Ranieri sticking with 4-4-2 and refusing to drop Vardy and Mahrez.
