Last season, one of the major reasons for our success (imo) was that we appeared to have a very "happy ship". No fall outs, no big egos, players happy with their role as subs or being subbed etc. Everything seemed very content.

So what has happened to compel a player who appears to have been a "model pro" up until now to effectively down tools?

Because without Kante they have all turned to shit?

It's quite obvious, he was promised game time and that didn't happen with the signing of Slimani, he was then told he would be sold for 4-5m if the bids came in and we are now saying we won't sell him. He feels betrayed yes but I don't think that necessarily means there's a deeper issue with other players.

someone fairly intent on resuming their career as soon as possible?

Im not entirely sure the WE OWN YOU NOW, is a particularly good advertisement for this club but there we are. Clearly we have different opinions how you manage certain people in certain situations.

I'm not saying that we own him. I'm saying that Leonardo Ulloa signed a contract to play for Leicester City.

If he decides to not play again on Januaray the 1st then fair enough, we'll see what we can do provided it suits Leicester City.

You don't do an interview the day before the window closes. It's a proper cunty thing to do and it's tarnished my opinion of the lad.

With all due respect, he can go.

But the bids so far have been a complete joke. I'm sorry but Leo needs to understand the club paid a lot of money for him, why on earth should they make a loss because he's thrown a strop. £3million is not good enough, that too from a relegation rival.

By refusing to play, he's only gonna de-value himself even more.

Very disappointed to hear these comments from Ulloa. To be fair to the club, we only have Ulloa's word that the club had agreed to sell for £5m so until we hear both sides of the story I think it's unfair to assume that the club are indeed messing him around.

If he wants to be an idiot about the situation, I'd be tempted to knock back all offers and ship him out on loan to a lower league team. If he really wants first team football as he claims he'll get his wish.

Shame it's got to this. I'm fond of Leo but it's a similar case to Schlupp, if a player wants to move then we shouldn't refrain that from happening, if their desire for an exit is strong. Not sure what the Ulloa situation is going to come to. He doesn't/isn't going to play for us, but we're insistent on keeping him, and then there's the contract issue as well.

I wouldn't want us to sell him to a rival but he'd be an asset for quite a few teams in this league. Worth 7-12m for me.

It's become clear that CR wanted two forwards with aerial prowess, alongside our other strikers. I can see the thinking behind that, as it would give us more options but due to Ulloa getting such limited game time it's difficult to keep him totally happy. He's looked good whenever he's come on in games though.

No one comes out of this looking very good.

It does sound as if the club have gone back on their word, I totally respect Ulloa wanting to play football. It's irrelevant whether £4 - £5m becomes a crap offer if it's from a relegation rival, we shouldn't have made this alleged promise if we couldn't keep it under any circumstances.

Then again it's not on coming out in public with it. That's the one thing you can always say about Claud, he keeps in respectable and in house. As did Pearson, tbf.

Make no mistake this has been one of the more shambolic seasons in recent times, the fall from grace has been as pathetic as it's been rapid.

I'm very worried about the state of us going forward now. An unhappy squad with attitude problems, a manager who can't see where the issues are and no signings coming in.

Mate, youre either going to rot on the bench or get sold to East Fife for £1 with that attitude.

Dont sell to sunderland without a replacement and even then I wouldn't  sell to them at all.

We don't really know we did lie, even an idiot would know situations can change and that things need to be right for both parties.

Saying we'll help you move on is one thing, but if it's a direct rival it's ridiculous for him to even expect to go there.

He can twist that as much as he wants to look the injured party, but at the end of the day it's what's best for lcfc and not Leo or Sunderland.

What a ****ing helmet. I hope we make an example of him and don't sell him. A big **** you to 'player power'.

It makes more sense for him to rot in the reserves and sue him for breach of contract for refusing to play. It's certainly more economically efficient than selling him to our rivals.

I can understand him being pissed off but this is disgusting behaviour to a club that has paid you ridiculous wages for 2 years and helped you win a medal he could only have dreamed of.

No I don't really agree with this at all. Either you give someone your word or you don't.

Now whether we did or we didn't is up for debate, but if we did make promises we should have stuck to them. Don't promise if you can't go through with it.

There seems to be a lack of real men at the club at the moment. Strong characters who take control, honour their promises (both spoken and written), keep business private and know the value of working hard. That's what men do.

We're a fvcking circus of weak, mardy teenagers.

Yeh, you're right. Sad.

Unfortunately that's why you need hard-asses to get them in line. Once they start getting confident they will always take advantage.
