I would love to say that I am surprised by all this but I am not. Sadly, the club's management have disappeared up their own behind. This is really bad man management that will continue to erode team spirit further. Claudio's CV seems to show that he turns up, makes an impact and then gradually goes down hill before getting sacked (Greece apart where the impact never happened). The owners need to realise that they are surrounding themselves with 'yes' people. Fingers crossed for the next 24 hours.

Really disappointed with Ulloa. He was going to start against Everton in the cup, but got injured. Now he's back with potential game time, with Slim injured, and he decides to threaten us with strike, unless we sell him.

reckon Hernandez had something to do with this? They were best buddies

Seen an interview after Hernandez left were it was said Leicester was a nightmare to get away from, the club kept moving the goalposts everytime he thought he had escaped. I have a feeling Mahrez signed against his wishes too, even more so now I have seen him play this season. We do seem to be taking a very tough stance with anyone wanting to leave, whether this is a good thing or not I dunno.

Just heard his interview on SSN

Cant believe he still interviews in his native tongue, lazy bastard

Actually you heard an interview by Sky with a translator, I haven't a clue what Ulloa was actually saying as I cant be ar$ed to learn any of his native tongue either (but I would if I  lived and worked there).

Exactly. Worse thing is I really liked him, not because he's a great footballer but because he's always had a great attitude. Complete let down.

Just heard his interview in full... I don't think he realised that although we have a bid we don't want to sell him to  a rival and therefore hes staying. Im sure if another team comes in that aren't PL and bids a similar amount then we can let him go?

Could it be they are under contract after all every player signs a contract and the club want them to honour it, but as soon as they want away the players / agents seem to think these contarcts are worth nothing.

He DID start in the cup at Everton

I can't understand the Club wanting to keep a player who doesn't want to play for us. Contracts don' t mean a damn thing nowadays.

The fact of the matter is he isn't playing on a regular basis and really what's his value worth? Not playing = not scoring = low value.

I can see both sides of the story but let's be right contracts today aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Are you therefore advocating contractless employees?

I don't want to criticise Ulloa too much, as he has been fantastic player for us. I do think this has gone a bit far though and he needs to show a bit more professionalism.

If rumours are true, he wanted to leave in the summer. I assume because we signed Slimani and he didn't get a new contract offer, that many others got.

We are only 6 months down the line, he has played 12 times for us in the league and has a couple of cup appearances too, many from the bench I understand.

If he stays, then he is likely to have another dozen or so appearances for us, and then be allowed to go in the summer with our blessings.

It's not ideal for him, but he still has 18 months left on his contract and it's not as though he isn't even making the bench. He is probably our 3rd choice striker when fit and will likely start if Slimani gets injured (likely!)

I guess the issue is, he has been lied to by Claudio about allowing him to leave and not buying another striker etc..  If I was him though, I would accept I will not be sold, get my head down. Perform as well as I can in the handful of appearances I get and move in th summer, which is only 6 months away! He is making it sound like he has not had a game all season and only playing for the U23's.

Unfortunately, coming out now and saying he will never play for us again, shows where is head is at. If we don't sell him now, then I can see him refusing to play and there being a stand off where he is fined wages etc. Shame it has come to this and I am sure Claudio may now be thinking that if we can move him quickly and get a replacement target man, then that will be better than having a stand off situation.

The annoying thing is that if he hadn't got crocked v Everton he would've started every week since with Slim away.

This is what I don't understand. He is going off like he hasn't played a game for us all season! To refuse to play for us, after more than a dozen appearances for us in 6 months, and would have been handful more if not injured, just seems a bit drastic to me!

He could potentially play parts against Sevilla in the Champions League. Slimani we know has issues with groin injury and so as Claudio says, Ulloa is are only target man, so more games there possibly.

To refuse to play like this is an over-reaction I think. Gives us an extra problem for sure. If we make him stay, will he go back on his word and actually play for us and if he does, is he going to sulk and have a negative impact on the rest of the team. He is obviously a popular character.

All this AFTER Claudio had this so called "clear the air" talk with him too. Not good!

If he refuses to play, start fining him.

The money he is on, he ought to keep quiet, put a shift in and stop complaining.

He signed the contract over that period of time, honour it - no agent, no footballer can start calling the shots over these contracts, it's getting out of hand.
