the fox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 I am not mad that a player is refusing to play. But, I am mad that ulloa of all people said he doesn't want to play for us. I get his frustration but, With all do respect to him. He ain't all that. He should've said that he doesn't want to play for Claudio.

AjcW Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 People really need to look at the bigger picture here, often occurrences like this point to much much bigger problems. As others have said this wouldn't have happened a few years ago.

lgfualol Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Bet we end up loaning him with a buy clause at the end.
RowlattsFox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Probably annoyed he didn't get a new bumper contract in the summer.
SecretPro Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 If he refuses to play, stop paying him. Simple. Leave him to rot as far as I'm concerned. Ungrateful isn't the word.

dylanlegend Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 To be fair to Leo I'd be annoyed if I didn't get to play under the great David Moyes

I saw through Vardy's bullshit as well and called him a **** and said he can **** off because he was using the club to milk every penny as he could, and that got me reply barred for two days. I still think Vardy is a monumental ****. **** footballers. What on earth are you talking about. Band of brothers is sod all to do with anything Vardy said, it's been trotted out by players and fans alike for years. It's to do with a great spirit we had, and there is no doubting that we had a great spirit. The issue is now, that spirit seems to be totally diminished. Pearson had a lot of faults but his team spirit building was exceptional. With that spirit average players can play above themselves (see Pearson, see last season, see O'Neill). For whatever reason it's vanishing, average players without the spirit and attitude are just that... average.
pSinatra Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 It will be interesting to see what Ranieri has to say. We might get to see his uglier side.

trickytrevbenjamin Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Good thinking from the club, planning ahead as we'll need him next season for Brentford and the rest.

lifted*fox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Tbh it's just another sign of how badly transfers are being dealt with by our club at the moment. With the right man-management in the summer and more recently we wouldn't be seeing issues like this. Leo has already said that his main concern is playing more football - so he isn't in the same category as people like Delph (snake) or Payet (getting all the game time but wants out to a bigger, more successful club). Leo looks about ready to leave to any ****ing club that'll take him and put him on the pitch. If Ranieri promised him game time and he isn't getting it then he has every right to feel aggrieved. I doubt he took a massive pay-rise along with everyone else, he probably stuck around on the premise that he played more. If that wasn't going to happen then he shouldn't have been told that it would and he most likely would have left in the summer. Leo has sat and watched players on 2/3 times his wages be shit this season after being told he'd play more (I expect) - most of us would be pissed off at that. Handling it by talking to the media ain't great but if that's his only hand and he's having it forced because Ranieri won't let him leave then I can understand why he's had to play it.
spudfox2911 Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Just let him go, why string it out? If he doesn't want to be here I don't want him anywhere near us, the reserves or development squad poisoning other minds and turning heads. west ham made themselves look like a right bunch of #### with the payet saga, granted the player also made himself look a right #### but I prefer we keep our dignity and heads held high. He has tarnished any fond memories any fan had of him tweeting that, let him go, let him regret his actions, one day he will have to tell the story to his family, of how he "threw it all away" in a moment of madness. it's a shame, some very important displays in our history, but ultmitately ruined his legacy now.

People don't compare this to their own lives due to the huge wages but they should.... People on far too much money being shit at their job and being rewarded for it is the reason i'm moving on from mine
Fox 4 Life Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 I would genuinley rather sell to Alaves for 1.7m than Sunderland for 7m. We do not want to be strengthening direct rivals, him and Defoe could be great together. Sunderland already signed Gibson and Oviedo today,
pSinatra Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Any grievance he has (rightly or wrongly) needs to be taken up with the club..........not Sky Sports News

An unhappy player wants to leave because he isn't getting game time, he sees Payet go on strike and get his move to Marseille, so he fancies forcing his own move. Would you say there are much much bigger problems at West Ham with the Payet situation? I wouldn't and the same applies to LCFC for me.
