boots60 Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 A career move. Nothing to do with £400,000 a week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38414256
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 What happened to Oscar? A couple of seasons ago he was touted as their best player and creative spark, now he can't get in the team and is leaving?

lgfualol Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Chelsea have sold him and Ramires for 80-odd million to China. Why doesn't China want our players that never play.

There's no way Chelsea would've rejected an offer even half of what Shanghai offered for Oscar.
Tuna Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 I don't know why we sneer so much about players moving clubs and earning more money. If any of us were offered the same job on twice the money what would we do? Exactly.

foxy boxing Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 The only reason any player chooses to play in China is for the money.the Chinese are spending huge amounts of money on their league particularly on transfers.

Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Chelsea are well good at getting big money for players they don't even want.

Dan Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Chelsea have had some absurd luck with teams buying their players.

It's like when you take control of another team on FM and buy all your shit players for as much money as possible.
Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Fair play to him. If someone is willing to pay him that why not take it. I would do exactly the same thing in his position

But surely the millions he's already earn't and would continue to earn would have set him up for life.

Fox92 Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Tevez will be earning £600k a week. After two years of that, he'll probably never step foot in China again
Samilktray Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Always find it weird how people moan about someone else's wage.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Another example of the sheer ridiculousness that is the Chinese Super League. This is at the same time as the Chinese Economy takes a big nosedive and people are losing their jobs left, right and centre, particularly in manufacturing. Distasteful doesn't quite cut it.
MC Prussian Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 Great payday for him, although the domestic competition in China will be rather crap, and there's little to gain in Asian tournaments. It's an excessive amount of money for such a player, I wonder how these Chinese clubs amass all that wealth and how it can be they pour that much money into football? Nothing to do with money laundering, hmm...
Ross-Kemp Posted 23 December 2016 Posted 23 December 2016 I will never, ever begrudge a human being for effectively moving job for more money. Footballers play for what, 20 years IF you're lucky. They need to make the most of it. What id like to see is honesty. "Yeah I'm moving China for 2 years, they're offering me half a million quid a week".

Fair enough for the average human moving jobs for more money for themselves and family.. yeah I get that. Footballers though? Majority on a FEW GRAND A WEEK which takes us normally a month or two to earn? then no. He would be set up for life already. There needs to be a wage cap in Football in my eyes. 'Working' as a footballer you'll be set for life and ovsr after a year!
