Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 11 games in. Was always a risk, but surely if you've taken that risk you have to run with it? Obviously he was never going to set the league alight, but his sacking is as much the Swansea board's failure as his.
rmahrez Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 To be fair to him he never got a transfer window, and their squad is fairly horrendous.
Durnerz Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 Selling Williams and not replacing him was a bigger error than appointing Bradley.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 Swansea just lost a whole load of freedom.

Izzy Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 As soon as he started talking about away games as 'road' games and penalties as 'PK's' you knew his days were numbered

They should, as it's the smartest thing to do to go after the best guy available. But I see no appeal into going to Swansea. It's a club 5 months from relegation. I think it's only a risk that people with nothing to lose should take even though it would be a monumental achievement to keep them up. I think Rowett deserves better and hope he doesn't take the job. A championship job with a shot at the playoffs will undoubtedly be looking for a manager in the next month or so anyway. Usual suspects on the betting market. Pardew, Rowett, Coleman, Woy, and Klinsman's odds have shortened in the last half hour.

lgfualol Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 Weird appointment in the first place, was shit in France's second league and then got a Prem job. Would have been interesting to see which quarterbacks he would have bought in Jan
Footballwipe Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 The side splitting jokes about how a person speaks because he's American. Excuse me while I cackle along. Bradley's problem was that he replaced a garbage manager and was ultimately garbage himself. In a league of £100m income that isn't going to wash, however many games he got or didn't get. Their main problem in this scenario was appointing Guidolin permanently in the first place. How many times do we see someone heroically come in as a caretaker then perform like crap the next season. Should have gone afresh, but teams never learn.
Super_horns Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 Be funny if Alan Pardew got the job! Shame though as I thought they were doomed.

Leicesterpool Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 Was always going to be a risk, never really rated him anyway found him a little too naive at times in his interviews. Well Swansea missed out on Allardyce... wouldn't at all be surprised if they take another gamble on someone like Gary Rowett.

Apparently when he managed in France or Eygypt, the press looked at him gone out when he talked about keeping 'clean sheets' which is a good old fashioned English saying. P.S. It's 'rubbish' not 'garbage'

There's so much mileage left in this thread but I fear we may upset our American cousins.... I think maybe we've gone into overtime with the puns...
MC Prussian Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 I bet Cardiff are looking forward to a derby next season...
Fox92 Posted 27 December 2016 Posted 27 December 2016 Feel for him. Walked into a shit squad, low in confidence and hasn't had a transfer window to address anything. Give it to Giggs - that's what the media want - just because he was a good player.
Guest Posted 28 December 2016 Posted 28 December 2016 Reckon we should bring him in to replace Ranieri. If he can pick up 8 points out of 33 with that team, imagine what he could accomplish with our squad of champions. Plus he could probably persuade Sigurdsson to join us.
