desertfox2 Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Slim gonna have a blinder today can feel it. Mahrez. Drinky, Gray and Albrighton to feed him. Slim hattrick coming up
lgfualol Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Gray and Mahrez swapping around sounds good, and Albrighton, er, defending. Sounds exciting.

Didn't we do the same under Pearson and got out of relegation?? We changed formations every three games under Pearson in the premier league. Didn't help at all until we signed Huth. It was the addition of Huth, not the endless changing of formation, that made the most impact.
Larry_LCFC Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Better to see hes changed it up but still think Ulloa should be starting over Slimani
desertfox2 Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Good to see Chilwell rewarded. Too often managers get slated for picking on name not form. 2 games in 2 days means Fuchs will probably play Monday but still well done Don.
StriderHiryu Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Wow very exciting line-up! Congrats to both Chilwell and Gray for keeping their places, in my opinion both are well deserved. *Very* excited to see Mahrez and Gray start together, that's just the sort of excitement and attacking intent that makes us fans happy. Intrigued to see if we play 4-4-1-1 with either Mahrez or Gray playing off Slimani, or if we will play a 4-3-3 with those two as the wingers and a midfield 3 of Albrighton / Drinky / Amartey. Suspect it will be the former, but it might change during the game. Come on you blues, do us proud!

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Slim needs to stay up top as a focal point. Then Gray and Mahrez need to fill the space between him and the centre mids. I can't imagine either Danny getting much over the halfway line today. This will line up can work, but needs some decent possession and decision making from the attacking lads.
UPinCarolina Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Watching with a whole grip of Hammers supporters this morning. Hope we batter them.

lgfualol Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Albrighton being able to use his right foot on the right wing might help us
Merging Cultures Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Oh my goodness!!!! It will be very interesting to see how this formation works!!

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Let's get at the feckers early and give the support something to get behind. I reckon we'll know inside 15 mins how this will pan out. We need to impose ourselves on opposition rather than sit back almost immediately.

The Doctor Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Like that - could easily become a 4-4-2 or even 3-4-1-2 like the great escape (Simpson to rcb, albrighton to rwb, grey up top and mahrez into the hole)
CloudFox Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 4 minutes ago, lgfualol said: Albrighton being able to use his right foot on the right wing might help us My thoughts exactly. Mahrez and Gray interchanging in the middle/left will cause havoc for their right hand-side, and Albrighton will be able to get his boot around some inswinging crosses to Slimani. Only slight concern is that they will target our left-hand side like Everton did, but a good chance for Chilwell to show his stuff again.

TheSomersetFox Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Even if Chilwell has a stinker today and the formation doesn't work, I'm happy with what Claudio's gone for there. Both the right things to do.
