I remember a Chelsea team struggling playing 442, and people were saying g the players are not bothered, the manager changed it to 352, and guess what.....

Didn't we do the same under Pearson and got out of relegation??

We changed formations every three games under Pearson in the premier league. Didn't help at all until we signed Huth. It was the addition of Huth, not the endless changing of formation, that made the most impact.

Wow very exciting line-up! Congrats to both Chilwell and Gray for keeping their places, in my opinion both are well deserved. *Very* excited to see Mahrez and Gray start together, that's just the sort of excitement and attacking intent that makes us fans happy.

Intrigued to see if we play 4-4-1-1 with either Mahrez or Gray playing off Slimani, or if we will play a 4-3-3 with those two as the wingers and a midfield 3 of Albrighton / Drinky / Amartey. Suspect it will be the former, but it might change during the game.

Come on you blues, do us proud!

The use of semi-colons and commas in the club's official tweet indicates 4-2-3-1.

Great observation!

Slim needs to stay up top as a focal point. Then Gray and Mahrez need to fill the space between him and the centre mids. I can't imagine either Danny getting much over the halfway line today. This will line up can work, but needs some decent possession and decision making from the attacking lads.

Albrighton being able to use his right foot on the right wing might help us

My thoughts exactly.

Mahrez and Gray interchanging in the middle/left will cause havoc for their right hand-side, and Albrighton will be able to get his boot around some inswinging crosses to Slimani.

Only slight concern is that they will target our left-hand side like Everton did, but a good chance for Chilwell to show his stuff again.
