Good chance for Musa and the lads to impress their respective national team bosses ahead of AFCON.

Will be great to see Ndidi get a game before he flies out too.

Thought Fuchs might be better away from home and a bit more fresher to deal with Traore. Would love Chilly to play though, been really great.

Honestly didn't think about him when listing my bench players.

It will be Fuchs as he only played 20mins today. It's good to have to quality left backs.

Can Chilwell play or is he off to the ACON as well?

FFS for the last time England U21s did NOT qualify for the ACON!

they lost the playoff on penalties to Nigeria.

Stat time

  • Middlesbrough are winless in their last 13 league games against Leicester (D7 L6), since a 1-0 win at the Riverside Stadium in March 2002.
  • Indeed, Middlesbrough's 13-game winless run against Leicester is their longest current winless streak against any team.
  • The Foxes twice came from behind to draw 2-2 in the reverse fixture in November, thanks to penalties from Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani.
  • Leicester have scored exactly two goals in five of their last six league meetings with the Boro.
  • Middlesbrough have won as many Premier League games at the Riverside in their last five games as they did in their previous 21 (3).
  • Leicester's return of two points from their first nine away games of the season is the joint-lowest total by a defending top-flight champion (alongside Blackburn in 1995/96 and Derby in 1972/73).
  • Indeed, the Foxes are winless in their last 11 Premier League away games, drawing four and losing seven.
  • Islam Slimani has now scored 15 of his 33 league goals since the start of last season from headers (45%).
  • 13 of Middlesbrough's 16 Premier League wins since the start of 2008 have come at the Riverside Stadium.
  • Alvaro Negredo has had a hand in five of Middlesbrough's last seven goals in the Premier League (four goals, one assist).

Game against Man U could have took a lot outta them and if we are at it and ready we could just get 3pts. Yes we also had a battle and if we turn in our usual standard of dross away it's only gonna be another defeat or a barely deserved draw at best

maybe would have considered rotating fuchs and chilwell today so that chilwell could play Monday against traore. fuchs got done for pace a bit too much at the KP.

anyway,  we should make quite a few changes as they will keep possession well and we looked tired second half. I don't expect we will though!

The big question ahead of this is obviously how much tinkering will Claudio do. My honest opinion is not that much. I think the players will all get a rest next week when we play Everton in the FA cup.

I would go:

Kasper

Simpson

Morgan

Huth

Fuchs

Albrighton

Drinkwater

King

Gray

Marhez

Slimani

Subs: Zieler, Chilwell, Hernandez, Musa, Amartey, Okazaki, Ulloa

0-2 win, with two quick goals in quick succession. Okazaki with atleast one of them.

We need to follow up the great West Ham result with a win and some consistency. When we beat man city we didn't back it up and it is important we do it to move us up the league

Drinkwater looked shattered all second half. I doubt he will play.
