Babylon Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 11 players and 11 different nationalities in the starting 11 today. That been done before?
Nalis Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Good spot. According to the below, Man Utd did it in 2011: http://m.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/history-made-as-manchester-united-field-11-different-nationalities-28579961.html Doubt we have before though.
Chico1958 Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Sometimes our lot appear to be from different planets Does that count Just joking people................. just joking
Tuna Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 I think babs is referring to whether we had done it before, which I don't think we have.

AKCJ Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Danish English Jamaican German Austrian French Ghanaian Welsh Algerian Japanese Argentinian
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Pretty sure at least 4 of those could have played for England though Kasper Simpson Morgan King

chicagofox Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Realistically there were three Englishmen in the starting line-up.

broughtonblue Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Feared this would happen Always rather liked how our team always had a good nucleus of British players

We have King, Drinkwater, Simpson, Chilwell, James, Albrighton, Gray and Vardy. Morgan is English all bar his national team. And then we have other players like Schmeichel and Huth who have spent most of their adult life and career in this country. Its just a busy period of games and we have a few injuries and suspensions.
crazyleicester Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Nice spot! I cant remember us having a side that didnt have more than one English lad in as Vardy, James, DD, Simmo, Albrighton etc have featured. I presume we have never fielded 11 outfield players who didnt include an Englishman though? The future looks good though and having a sprinkling of English lads is always important. Chilwell had a real shaky start but has played well in his last two games. Gray looks like he could rule the world if he continues to progress but it would be great to see the YA bring through a couple of first teamers for that local link.
