Your top 10 sitcoms

Recommended Posts

There are some sitcoms where there's a brilliant script and there are others that are a bit crap but are carried by the cast because they're funny people. George and Mildred, Open All Hours are like that.

It's the same nonsense every week and nobody talks like that in real life but it is funny and that's all down to the cast.

I was going to say, yer 'avin' a laff,. But that would be contradictory.

I know it's personal taste but I never found this show funny... ever

I'd say the same about Phoenix Nights, Peep Show or anything else that comes under the mantle of cringe comedy, really.

Not in any particular order..

Hancocks half hr.

Open all hours

Only fools

Porridge...(seems many forgot this one)

Steptoe and Son

Blackadder

Likely lads/whatever happened

Some mothers do 'ave them

The Army game

Bootsy n Snudge.

MY Sub: but would not get through now...Till death do us part.

Honourary, but no sit com...

Dave Allen live.

In my life so many so funny sit-coms, that a list of 10 seems too small.

I missed  out Fawltey towers, but stayed hard to my own belly aching laughs,

but Basil scolding and beating his own car, is still in my top 4 outtakes.

Dad's Army - just as funny as it was when I watched it first time round when I was a kid

On the Buses - Blakey!!!    Blakey50.png

Open All Hours - Ronnie Barker at his finest

Till Death Us Do Part - totally unPC of the like we shall never see again

Haven't seen Rab C Nesbitt on this thread yet. If you don't like it yer can bile ya heid!

Almost as good as Rab is Gregor Fisher as Para Handy. No idea why the powers that be never let the folks down South see it.

You have to be cruel to be kind Webbo.

Don't worry Webbo, Costock Fox's top ten consisted of one (the peep show)  His mummy says that when he's finished his homework (Janet & John book one) he can watch his real favorite "Spongebob square pants" and then she's going to teach him how to count to ten and that should keep him quiet for weeks.
