Yes...surely it would give him a boost as he watches the game from his hospital bed.

He's a big part of our club...show him the love and support he deserves.

And yes some comments have been very mean.....if you don't like it don't take part.

Just been on east Mids news, his ticker stopped then, had chest compressions and the nurse who happened to be there because her daughter was up for an award asked for the defrib to be brought to him, 4 shocks later he came back.

 

Amazing, absolutely amazing, hats off to the nurse and to the man himself, campaigning so much for the box that has saved his life.

May 7th 2016.

I'm at a braii in Botswana with friends, utterly hammered already. The Birch then walks out the tunnel with the trophy, and I just lose it. That look on his face, so humble but also one of utter disbelief shared by Foxes around the world - he brought me to tears. Everyone else in the room was utterly baffled.

Don't remember much about that night after all the celebrations. Woke up in the middle of the bush under the stars because I was too drunk to walk home. Still have the scars to prove it. What a day.

Thanks my friend but sadly they are not. I remembered an old lecture I attended with a quote from a veteran Antarctic Explorer who had  referred to the merits of Robert Scott, Amundsen and Shackleton and their different leadership qualities. I thought about it and thought it would be good for City and the Birch. I simply plagiarized it to suit ! :-)

Get well soon birchy me old potatoe . Spent time with him at the pub was a proper host always looking after everyone . Nothing to much trouble even when super busy. Always was very humble and never without a smile . Great to hear he's improving.
