Is he? Good game against West Ham maybe.

The fact is Vardy is a far more rounded player who is crucial to us playing well. We could not have won the league with Slimani instead of Vardy. Absolutely no chance whatsoever.

People need to accept that Slimani will score headers if we put crosses in but so would Ulloa. The rest of his game, like Ulloa's, is dogshit.

I think he's a very poor signing.

1- :D:D. Is vardy a clinical finisher, no!. Does he have a great positioning, no!. Is he an aerial threat, no! is he a good dribbler, not! . Is he hard to mark,no!. Is he great with his weak foot, no!. I am not saying that slimani is all those but, don't act like vardy is not all pace.

2- we could've not win the league without Albrighton, Simpson, huth and morgen. But that doesn't mean that they are untouchable.

Can we all stop talking nonsense. We'd be mad to flog him in this window. He's shown he's dangerous with the right service. If he's looked less than great recently it's because he's playing in a team currently devoid of any form and consistency. He can piss of to China in June if he's that keen.

If he's being 400k he may force it.

Deffo.  African players always chase the money before anything else.

Fair enough then, they can have him for £40 million as long as they also buy Musa for £25. He's the one that we should be moving on if we get a decent offer.

Can't beat a sweeping generalisation.

But he must be on a 3+ year contract and barely 6 months in. We shouldnt allow any player to force our hand in that scenario.

What happens then?  Slim turns around and says "I don't want to play for Leicester anymore".  Do you:

A.  Keep selecting him in the team regardless and watch him sulk and play badly.

B.  Bench him/drop him from the squad completely and make him pick up his £80k or whatever for doing nothing.

C.  Take the £40M and put it down to experience.

In all three options, we lose a decent striker, in the third though we get suitable compensation.  If the numbers quoted have any truth, he'll go.  If he doesn't go, it's because the story is a load of crap.

Surely hes already played for two clubs this season? I think any move would have to be on hold until the end of the season at the very least...

Chinese season doesn't kick off until March so maybe that counts as next season?

I cant imagine them paying him 400k a week to sit around and do nothing for 6 weeks but i suppose anything is possible....

Mate they are willing to pay Slimani £400k a week so don't rule anything out.

Forgive my ignorance but even the biggest clubs in the world don't pay £400k a week.

How the hell help is that sustainable for any club?

How have china all of a sudden got all this cash? Especially when a chicken chow main is so cheap!

Can't be arsed to read the whole thread,  and if this has been mentioned, ignore me. But slimani has already played for two clubs this season and thus under FIFA rules can't be sold until the summer.

If China come in with 400k per week, he'll be gone.  Simples.

Added to the fact that Mahrez probably sweet talked him into signing whilst the club was on a high, im not sure he wouldve come for a relegation battle
