That and the fact that he's shit.

He's not shit. Behave.

He's our top scorer and top assister and he's only played 13 league games (11 starts) - and he's playing in a shit team with very little creativity.

The stick Slimani gets on here is weird.

Hopefully he wants to stay. I still don't think we've properly played to his strengths all season. We seem to go long to him far too often, now yes you'd expect him to hold it up fairly well but that's not his game I don't feel.

He needs more crosses like Albrighton's at home to West Ham. That's where he will score goals and potentially keep us up. Considering the form we've been in as a team, he's actually done rather well considering.

Praise the lord some SENSE!

It's completely bemusing the JV can stroll about for 90 minutes and touch the ball twice and get no stick.

Slim has probably had two off games, but they were team off games.

We've got ourselves a big lad who can actually run and has a bit of pace about him.... on his own up top with a number ten he'll be lethal.

@Koke brushes on it, but due to our lack of creativity the strikers aren't going to be as effective. That's the same case for Vardy, Okazaki, Musa and Ulloa.

If we sign Ramirez who is creative we might just start to see our forwards starting to score goals again. Strikers need service, something we haven't done this season, hence why our forwards haven't been very effective.

He's clearly not very average.

I still can't believe people are singling out individuals and judging them on this season, especially when so many have been bit parts or in and out of the team. Almost EVERYONE has been shit to average, players we all love and have played well for years are performing like they've never even played football before.  Do people not understand the situation we're in, the hangover from last year, change in attitudes and a manager being clueless is bringing the absolute worst out in everyone.

Im yet to hear a single opposition supporting mate suggest he is anything but... all opinions mate, mine is that he is very limited for a £30m fee.  hope im proved wrong of course.

get rid for £40m - how often do you get a chance to move someone on after 3 months after finding out he's really very average and with a £10m profit - result...

As already stated he's played for two clubs this season. So if we did sell him he either can't play or stays here on loan.

That and we also need him to want to go to China.

Before anyone says "Mahrez is top scorer" I'm not counting someone who has had 5 pennos put on a plate for him. If Slim had been given them he'd be in double figures.

I really really like him and I love his attitude but if we're going to sign Jackson Martinez for a fraction of the cost and if we spend the difference on defenders then I think we have to accept it.

What? Moaning, throwing his arms in the air all the time, blaming others when he just looks like a lazy ****?

Nah, not a trait and type of attitude I look for myself.

I think you need to get your head around the fact that, in this day and age, if you want a competent Premier League quality striker in his prime age then you're going to be shelling out upwards of £30m.

I think he's done alright with us, despite not impressing me with his all round game. Also seems to win very few flick ons for his stature and heading ability.

Given I think we overpaid for him and the money could be better spent elsewhere on the squad then I'd be happy to sell. No point having the money in the bank on 1st Feb though, it'd need to be spent on a couple of players.

If the 3 club rule applies then this is, of course, moot.

Slimani could be excellent in a balanced team because he has an instinct for goals. Outside of that he's nothing special but goals are vital to a football team and we're not scoring many.

As for Vardy if you really want some criticism, I'll offer it quite happily. The bloke's been a shadow of his best the whole season to the point where it's hard to justify picking him.

In fact he seems to be being chosen on hope and his past record more than anything else and at Southampton he barely got a touch. One brief opportunity when he miscontrolled a difficult feed and that was about it.

People will point to all sorts of potential reasons - and some of them may be valid, who knows.

But if we could get a price for him and a decent replacement so late in this window I'd take it in a shot.

Cos there's no signs his mindset's going to change anytime soon. I only wish it were different.

Exactly! I'd rather see him bitching at the people around him for getting shite service all game than being a quiet mouse.

He's proven if he gets the right service he can score goals.

Its not weird.

If Ulloa would have put in some

of the performances Slimani had, he'd have been crucified.

Just because he cost £28m everyone makes excuses.  He looks bloody awful apart from when a cross lands on his head in the 6 yard box.

That aint enough to justify his price tag or keeping him if we can get rid.

Ah the old penos don't count routine. Have we resigned Nugent lollol In this instance I do agree with what you are saying about pens.

Then how do you feel when Schmeichel, Drinkwater or Vardy scream at other people? Or is that just passion right?

Not sure where you got lazy either. He is anything but. Would you call Vardy a lazy ****, despite him covering the least ground out of all our strikers?

nope. 1) can't see him wanting to go. 2) ulloa aint gonna give us his best anymore after all the drama. 3) Riyad will sulk even more. 4) he'll fail his medical with that groin of his lol

All fair points except number 4. As if them Chinese ****ers bother with medicals lol

I love Leo, but he has put in a fair few performances where he's looked a complete donkey with no touch or pace.

And the second point is bollocks too, are you telling me his goal against West Ham just 'landed on his head' lol, it was a quality header. And we have been doing nowhere near enough to play to these strengths. Vardy looks awful without decent service to him in behind the defence as well.

The only way this will happen if the owners want it to, or Slimani gets the hump and wants to go.

It wouldn't reflect well on Ranieri to sell our largest transfer ever, without him really finding his feet here, or being given the chance to settle.

i just feel like we've hardly seen him play yet, even though we're well over half way through the season!
