Dross.  3s to 5s all round.  Thought Chilwell was decent and so was Gray when he came on.  Vardy no where to be seen as per usual.

Schmeichel - 5 - Think he should have stopped the first, went down in stages. Need to see the second back but unsure on his positioning.

Simpson - 4 - Stop ****ing hoofing it

Morgan - 5 - Good movement and header tbf, but beaten too easily too regularly

Huth - 4 - As with simpson. Nominative determinism doesn't have to be a thing.

Fuchs - 4 - Ineffective, not surprised he was withdrawn. Time for Chilwell to take over for a spell

Albrighton - 7 - In the first half, the only one with either effort or product.

King - 5 - Should have done far better for the second.

Drinkwater - 5 - Pretty average.

Chilwell - 6 - did ok, not a winger though

Okazaki - 5 - should have scored start of the second half.

Vardy - 1 - One header, straight at the keeper in 90 minutes against lower league opposition is pathetic. Buck your ideas up la.

Subs:

Gray - 6 - Bright, great delivery for the goal, decent attempt that hit the post nut marked down for that shocking miss right at the start of the second half.

Mahrez - 5 - odd flick and trick but didn't do much

Musa - 5 - as with mahrez.

Derby - 4 - Thought they were shocking, we were just worse for a big chunk

Ranieri - 4 - too negative to start with, and the tactics seemed to be as nuanced as "just boot it, it'll work eventually." Unfortunately what I saw was enough for me to say it's time to part ways. Doesn't seem to know how to get this team back.

Ref - 7 - felt he favoured them a bit with some of the 50/50 tackles. Otherwise fine.

4s all round apart from

Morgan 5 (for his goal), Chilwell 5 (for his effort), Mahrez 5 (attacking ability) and Grey 6 (provided the attacking springboard for our 2nd half display).

Like above. Ref motm.  Vardy a disgrace again. 4 years at 100k a week. **** me. Okazaki needs to be dropped permanently and hopefully we buy a new back four in the next 3 days.

Don't understand what we're expecting Vardy to do? He gets close to no service, we smash high balls up to him when he's up front by himself, and we whip crosses in for him that either hit the first man or sail past the far post. Not one player looked to get the ball down and provide him a decent ball to latch on to, Okazaki at the start had a great opportunity, held on to it and tripped over his own feet, the midfield try a long ball or diag in to the channel which is a waste. He's not the same player as last year, but what can you ask of him when he's isolated as he is.

Actually Okazaki I thought was one of the average players today, yes he felt on his arse a lot and was frustrating at times but at least had a couple shots on goal. Albrighton and Grey weren't bad as well, but most of the bunch were either poor or worse. Chilwell, Vards, Drinky, Simpson, both CBs (even though Morgan partially redeemed himself with the header), Kasper, King. Derby were poor and so were we. Clattencnut motm for me as well. How sad is that.

Pains me to say this but it's the first time I voted Claudio go. The way I see it, the way we play, we belong to Championship.

Kasper 7 The save late on from that left foot shot was extremely good

Simpson 5 Too many hoofballs . He's been off it last few games

Morgan 5 I love him but he was like a statue for the second goal

Huth 5 Some dreadful long balls. Looks like a fridge trying to run

Fuchs 5 Hard to judge as we were so awful first half but he wasn't good

Abrighton 7 Lots of effort but his crosses are ineffective when we have no Slimani or Ulloa up there

King 5 Could have done better for the second goal

Drinkwater 6 Thought he had a really good last half an hour. Laid one on a plate for Vardy with a lovely chip. Also unlucky not to score after a sublime Mahrez pass

Chilwell 6 He's a left back and a good one at that. First choice for me at the moment

Okazaki 4 Should have scored second half- just lift the ball shinji. Don't just blast it at the goalie. Ineffective

Vardy 3 I think that's the worst game I've seen him have in over a year. He's completely off his game

Gray and Mahrez both 7- these two should start every game.

Musa 4 Matt Elliott summed it up well when I heard him on the radio in the car 'he plays like he's on a different planet to everyone else'. And not in a good way.

Ranieri 2- starting 11 far too negative .

Posted

Gray and Mahrez -7 the only two players who made things happen

Schmeichel, Albrighton and Chilwell - 6

King, Musa, Simpson, Huth, Morgan - 5

Drinkwater, Fuchs, Vardy and Okazaki -3

Drinkwater is starting to get on my tits with his careless performances. Vardy is only as good as his service. The less said about Okazaki, the better. Appalling footballer.

Okazaki held onto it because Vardy failed to either shake his marker or draw the defender far enough away from Okazaki to open up the space for him to run through.

As for him getting "no service" I must have imagined the free header he had 6 yards out that he gift-wrapped for Carson.

His movement, which was arguably the stand out attribute of his most successful time at the club, now reminds me of Beckford's. Running down blind alleys or worse still just standing there and not moving at all.

Kasper 7 Good save late on. Massive personality for us again when we needed it

Simpson 5 Very average and distribution poor

Huth 5 He craps himself every time the ball is at his feet. Too slow

Morgan 6 Redeemed himself with the header. At fault for their second goal. Just too slow to react and get close to his man

Fuchs 5 Average again. Chilwell is better at the moment

Albrighton 7 Great work rate in the first half. His crosses are often too deep but if Slimani is on the end of them they're good balls

King 5 Pathetic for the first goal and barely got forward

Drinkwater 6 Much better second half - lovely ball for Vardy who should have scored

Chilwell 6 Joke to start him left mid. He's a left back and a really good one. Ahead of Fuchs now

Vardy 3 Worst game I've seen him have for a long long time. Looks unhappy to me

Okazaki 4 Decent effort in the first half but pretty ineffective as usual. Should have scored when the Carson save fell straight to him. Any clinical striker would have dinked that but Okazaki is as far from clinical as you will see.

Gray 7 Why he doesn't start every game I don't know. Ridiculous manager that's why- can't bear a flair player

Mahrez 8 MOTM. Head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. Magic

Musa 5 Difficult to rate him as didn't have long. Seems to run the opposite way he should do

Ranieri 2- far too negative with his starting 11 for an away game to a championship team. If Gray and Mahrez started we'd have won it. I think the players have stopped playing for him and that ends only one way.

Too many 4s and 5s.  We need 3 players to post 8 or more... that will inspire the rest

Vardy needs passes. ..  fuchs and drinky need to find him.  Shinji key to to coming short for optons in mid field.... yet none of this happening

We need to get back to the mo of last year before any more experiments

ONLY THING WORTH SAYING IS RANIERE HAS TO GO, NOW.

Who's he?  BUT IF YOU FEEL SO PASSIONATELY ABOUT IT.... So do I !!!

I don't know if I'm watching a different game to you guys from where im sat but i thought Okazaki is one of our best player yesterday, yes he trip over his own feet which was ridiculous but you should see the movement of Vardy which wasn't helping him at all. He didn't run into a space where he could offer a pass, Shinji won a lot of balls and axtually did some decent link up and dribble past players Mahrez would. Of been proud of. That's my opinion anyway and had far more effective game than our strikers, yes he should of scored but Grey was just as guilty. He still give 100% where Vardy is working 100% less than last season, appreciate we playing badly at the moment, but if quality not there least have the effort

Kasper 4 - again let in a goal he should of saved I felt

Simpson 4 - passing was terrible

Huth 2 - poor

Morgan 5

Drinkwater 4 - better 2nd half after Will Hughes gone off, Hughes was showing up the England international

Fuchs 3- oh dear

Chilwell 5

Albrighton 5

King 4

Vardy

Okazaki 6

Subs

Grey 5

Mahrez 5- gave Derby alot to think about

Musa 3

Posted

Kasper 7 - Nothing to do really

Simpson 5 - Questionable distribution, shocking header to assist Bryson for their second goal

Huth 4 - We've always known he's not the best on the ball he's just too slow now

Morgan 4 - Looked shocking again. Good goal, though

Fuchs 4 - Chilwell should start left back simple as

Albrighton 5 - I get fed up of watching him. Constantly waits for the ball, two corners out of play, overall nothing special

King 5

Drinkwater 5

Chilwell 6 - Still our bright spark

Okazaki 6 - Everything went through him. At least he got the ball down and ran at them

Vardy 4 - Should have scored at least one

Ranieri 4 - Negative. Two left backs against a Championship side ffs

Derby 4 - Nothing special. Defence is very questionable.

Clattenburg 7

Clattenberg MOTM, Mahrez and Gray our best players.

Turgid affair really, we would have steamrollered them if we went out and pressed/attacked. So infuriating.

Kasper 6 (One vital save near the end).

Simpson 5 (Nothing special at all).

Morgan 6 (The equaliser helped but he looked so ponderous)

Huth 5 (Had the touch of a lampost. Didn't dominate as he often did in previous seasons)

Fuchs 5 (Not comfortable. Derby were quite a threat at times down our left)

Albrighton 7 (Encouraging. Man a goal however fortuitously, Tried so hard to get different crosses in and fashioned chances in doing so for all that we often didn't have enough players trying to get on the end of them).

King 7 (Was never required to get forward but to be the retainer and distributor. Did the job well in what was a much improved team effort compared with Southampton).

Drinkwater 6 (Looked tired to me but still tried hard enough. Even had a shot!)

Chilwell 6.5 (Very positive and promising. Involved himself well and took responsibility for all that not everything came off and he still showed inexperience at times. Another step forward taken)

Shinji 6 (Get him some proper studs for pity's sake. Forever on the floor but still brought one good save and had one more golden chance to score which at least he got on target. Never a natural striker though, basically a supplementary workhorse)

Vardy  4 (One excellent chance from a header which was hopelessly underpowered and misdirected. Otherwise our most disappointing player by a distance. I don't think a lack of supply was a credible excuse this time. We got enough balls into the box both in the air and on the ground but he wasn't alive to them. Way short of his best).

Ranieri 6 (Got the team motivated well enough but didn't apply maximum pressure until we were losing. Has no concept of the idea of getting on top and keeping the pressure on constantly. He's more reacting to each goal - defend if we're in front, attack more if we go behind. It's calculating but flawed and is like a straightjacket at times, and as a philosophy)

As for Clattenberg, no complaints. Refereed the game sensibly, commanded respect, made good decisions and almost always seemed well positioned.
