The players are not responding to him and need to take a long hard look at themselves. Vardy can seriously **** off. I agree he looks like a broken man you could see that when we played Derby. I feel sorry for him and the players have no respect for him. But the question is who do we get in.

I am not a member of the Ranieri Adoration Society. But I really doubt, that he is the problem. He has tried (almost) every possible line-up, every possible formation, he is trying to direct the game from the touchline (have you watched him tonight?), but nothing seems to work. Perhaps, we need to be at the bottom, like in 2014/15, before the survival instincts of the players kick in. How long would I wait? Till after the Sevilla game. The club owes him that. At least. I did have a look at fixtures earlier with the idea of when might be a good time to go. I always thought that he should be given 5-6 games after the window for his signings to settle and gel, and although we have had a quiet window, maybe we can give him a handful more games to try turn it around, including the Sevilla ones. I honestly think he is out of ideas though. I'm wondering if the team needs a new manager just to get stuck into them and make them realise they are going down with a whimper. I think the home performance against Derby will be a big indicator of where we are at, and how much positive influence Claudio still has on this team

Can't imagine him taking any crap and he has managed far better and higher profile than this lot. Not exactly a long-term appointment but we need someone who can come in and have an instant impact, which is exactly what he did at Chelsea last season! Failing that, Mancini maybe.
chicagofox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 The man has lost the damn plot. He doesn't pick a single selection on merit.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 For all those people who bizarrely claimed they would rather get relegated than the club sack Ranieri....well unless another miracle happens, I think you are going to get your wish. If so, watch this club get torn apart in terms of playing personnel. I can feel another Villa coming on.

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Go unfortunately We're getting worse with each game and if we leave it much longer it'll be too late. Let's not make the same mistake Newcastle made last year. Change it NOW!
josh_baskin Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Looking at the list below makes CR's position look a lot safer to me. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik#ath
Ted Maul Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Has to go, unfortunately. The team aren't responding to his management style at all, he's devoid of ideas tactically, and it almost seems as though he doesn't realise our situation; he should have been banging on Rudkin's door telling him to sign his targets. 1 goal in 6 games, conceding plenty, 2 points off relegation and we didn't feel enough urgency to bring anyone in. Crazy.

SpinneyHillRanger Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 No way we should sack Ranieri. he needs to stay till at least the end of the season and leave on his terms
simon789us Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 If he goes at the end of the season we will have been relegated make no mistake he's lost the dressing room these players are more than capable but he cannot get them going thanks for everything Claudio but enough is enough
WigstonWanderer Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 It is truely sad that it has come to this. Claudio is such a thoroughly decent man, but something has happened to turn last season's heroes into this season's zeroes, and he doesn't seem to be able to sort it out. Whatever it is must be deep rooted because whatever the lineup the style of play remains the same - hoof and hope. I think a fresh eye will be needed, though I suspect that the downward momentum is such that we are in a similar position to Newcastle last season. Even getting Benitez in wasn't sufficient to save them, but he is managing to turn them around after a season in the Championship. I know that we were technically much deeper in trouble season before last, but this somehow seems a worse position, with no sign of improvement, and things actually worsening apart from the occasional false dawn. Question is, is there anyone out there of sufficient quality that would be willing to come? I hope that things can be done in an amicable way. Ranieri deserves that for his superb stewardship last season.
mrmagoomc4 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 dilly ding dilly dong and pitza aint gonna win any points or make a bunch of useless players perform ,he clearly has no idea other than mmmmmm lets play hoof ball without playing the only good target man we have in ulloa , also its obvious fuchs is too slow and is a liability where as chilwell is definately no 1 right back hes looked well good and shows alot of determination, theres so many other points a manager should obviously see so its time to collect yer p45 claudio and take a trip to spec savers on the way out.

We will most likely be in the bottom 3 after the weekend. We have seen no signs of improvement for 6 months, and actually, one could argue, we are getting worse. Should we stick with him and get relegated for the sake of loyalty? Surely there comes a point where the club is bigger than any one player or any one manager and we have to do what is in the best interests of the club, and take emotions out of it. Been relegated loads of times, never won the league before so loyalty for me is a gimme.

WigstonWanderer Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I'd be very surprised if the owners do actually sack him.
foxy boxing Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I'm sorry I love the guy and what he has done for the club but football is a business and if results are not happening, he is showing no evidence that he can turn it around quickly
desertfox2 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Has Ranieri ever been relegated as a manager?

Collibosher70 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 If the owners decide to change the manager then I hope they let him step down with dignity rather than the sack...this man has given us the best season ever
EGBFitness Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 9 hours ago, crazyleicester said: There arent enough hours in the day for me to list why we won it last season but needless to say everything went our way. Loads of big teams were in transition (remember Chelsea hovering around the relegation zone?) which acted as a leveller but basically 14 or 15 players stayed fit and played out of there skin. They were all hungry and had that Rocky eye of the tiger as they started the season nice and humble with a normal pre-season and played for 40 points. Players were playing for there prem careers and we over achieved when absolutely everything went our way. This season has been the complete opposite. We cant do anything right. Tonight typifies things for us. Vokes controls it with his hand and we get nothing. We are bereft of confidence where last season everyone loved us and everything went right. This season you get the feeling all eyes are on us as people actually want us to get relegated. Back to a final word on Claudio. He convinced the likes of Vards, Kasper, Drinky and Mahrez to stay. He has added some young talent to the club and bought in the likes of Ndidi and Slimani when apparently they had other options. Sacking Claudio could lead to an exodus next season. Id hope we stick with him and we should have more than enough to stay up. If it all gets to much for Claudio and he walks then he is entitled to make that call but he doesnt deserve to be sacked. If he stays I reckon I am certain that next season we will be better for it. We will make some serious additions to the defence, we may lose Mahrez but the crux of the team I think will stay and we get that eye of the tiger back. It will be the wake up call that some of these needed. I hate this whole 'big clubs in transition' BS. United still spent over £100m that summer, Chelsea had just won the league, City was going all out for it and you could see what it meant to Arsenal after they beat us at their place - we won the league because we was the best team in the country nothing to do with other teams. But im glad you mention Chelsea because their fortunes turned around once Jose went, an example to my previous message. So in a nutshell you are saying that last seasons success was down to the players? Which if that's the case why are you so bothered about what manager we have? Or why are you so quick to slate the players this season after all they done last year!? CR has already said he doesn't deal with transfer negotiations so he personally hasn't bought in the likes of Ndidi and Slimani and also if he went how do you know their would be a mass exodus!? Did all the players leave when Pearson left, who he had recruited and built together as a team? Did Chelsea players leave when Jose left? With the comments Ulloa is coming out with how do you know the players aren't considering leaving now whilst CR is in charge!? He should be given the right to leave by mutual consent but the way things are looking we are going to be playing championship football next season, so how are we better off? Personally I couldn't see CR sticking around if we got relegated either. The club should of been making some serious signings this summer when we was the most attractive we will ever be in terms of champions and champions league team - what makes you think we will be come this summer!? Last night you could say we was hard done too by the handball but you also create your own luck, we had plenty of it last season. The matter of the fact is that we looked piss poor against Burnley, we did against Derby, Chelsea, Boro etc etc if we was losing but was unfortunate in terms of we gave opposition a good game or individual error etc like 14/15 season I would be all for CR staying, the fact is we easily look the worst team in the league and have done for the past 2/3 months now and that's the reason he needs to go before it's too late and it's us the fans who have to suffer not the likes of CR who can leave and take another job on.
dannythefox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 If he gets the boot I think it will be Roy Hodgson to replace him. Another nice bloke who's speaks to the press well and represents the brand king power well.
