Replace Morgan as captain and give it to Schmeichel. It will start our rebuild. We need it now. Do something, anything, we're going down without a fight at the moment same old rubbish every week. yorkie1999 Posted 5 February 2017 Share Posted 5 February 2017 Let's face it we've played absolute terrible football all season and are still not in the relegation zone. Imagine how crap the 4 teams below us must be. Result at Swansea is the season definer

It's worth finding out though isn't it? If we go down with Ranieri we will regret not making a change. Football is littered with instances in which a relegation threatened team have changed managers and have gone on to stay up.Does it work all the time? No. We'd just need someone to make an instant impact to keep us up then look for someone long term over the summer.
Chico1958 Posted 5 February 2017 Share Posted 5 February 2017 Bring the Kids in, get Lawrence back from Ipswich We may go down but they'll fight to keep their places Ndidi looks fine, Musa and Mendy's OK, Amartey played AFCon as CB, Chilwell looks hungry,Kapuska plays for his Country for gods sake as does Lawrence, who's been scoring goals. Slim to be Captain if he ever gets off the sick bed I'm getting depressed going to work every Monday to be asked what's gone wrong............. perhaps the kids will respect CR as well cos I'm not sure our current team do. As was once said you'll never win anything with kids, I fear we won't again with our Senior Players
Fox 4 Life Posted 5 February 2017 Share Posted 5 February 2017 Lawrence doesn't have a recall option in his loan deal. He will be a great asset if we go down though!
Wymsey Posted 5 February 2017 Share Posted 5 February 2017 The owners won't do a runner should the club go down. They're the type that would be embarrassed about this and aim to dismantle the crap and catapult back up again without trying to change too much. Be grateful we're not ever going to be like our rivals on the other side of the M69 with ignorant owners and lack of direction.
Blizzard Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 I had hoped city would come out and play. After yesterday Ive lost hope. Im not even convinced a new manager would help.Big Sam is who we needed and I cant believe I am saying that myself. Raneri is not the man to lead a fight against relegation battle. Tactically clueless. Im resigned to the fact we are going down. Ps. Make Kasper captain and drop Morgan. Sorry, and I've changed my opinion since yesterday. lgfualol Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 Big Sam spent tons in January and got destroyed by Sunderland. Not sure he would have been the right man.
5waller5 Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 There's one reason Sunderland thrashed CP and that's that his old players hate big Sam.
Royston. Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 dont need an instant replacement. removing claudio could get a positive reaction from the players and we'll get out of the shít. have any of the players publically backed ranieri? Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 Hopefully this season will be the one that dispels the 'Big Sam' myth. That being said I can't see CR turning us around, so it's us, Palace and any 1 from the other 4 for me.

Fox 4 Life Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 The scary thing is we are only 4 points better off (at the same point) than the great escape season and at least we were playing ok then but still losing by the odd goal. Our last 4 games we have scored 0 and conceded 10.

My opinion would be to go with Craig Shakespeare until the end of the season, I feel the players would put in performances for him. Long term I'd prefer a manager not rapidly approaching end of his career, e.g. Mancini (not that he would come), Howe etc.
Countryfox Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 I don't think it will make a blind bit of difference who is in charge ... the players are mentally and physically boloxed and not even a 'super-manager' will be able to change that. When Slimani and Ulloa are fit and Amartey returns we will see if they can make some difference.

Blizzard Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 The point I am making is that we need a proven relegation battling specialist. I feel Raneris powers of influence and motivation have gone. He seems to be a one season short term fixer, not a long term solution, if one ever exists. As has been pointed out the club is in shit due to the contracts and wages it agreed. It was a no win situation. It seems one year rolling contracts are the only way to manage a small club like ours. Recruitment defo an issue, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Blizzard Posted 6 February 2017 Share Posted 6 February 2017 Its not about being a true fan, its about watching the way this team is being demolished every game. I don't mind if they try, but they go a goal down and all fight disappears and they look lost and beaten. I remember when they used to fight back, that isnt happening, and for me that is the real issue. The way we are losing, not the fact that we are losing. It has been said on here before people in factories and on minimum wage earn £8 an hour, this is the one thing they have to look forward to each week. They come and watch a load of glory boys many on £50K a week who don't look like they are bothered, have no team spirit and are not earning their worth. To me that is an issue. If you can't do a job, you either resign or get sacked. Many people in this country cant get contracts, are on zero hours. If I was earning £50K a week, I think, I might be a little more motivated than what I have seen. Then again I am not on £50K a week.
