NewquayFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 We are all entitled to our opinions Clapham and Vardy was as bad last night as he has been all season, can't keep blaming everyone else but him all the time, he's got to start scoring goals like he did last season instead of whining at everyone and knuckle down. Two big strikers against United might be the way to go with some decent crosses, too many wasted balls into the box recently with no one in there with the ability to head a ball. But as I said we all have our opinions and I don't think mine was a daft one.....
Foxes1 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Quote Why shouldn't we support him as long as he puts in 100% I don't see the problem after all he wants to play football which is his job.
EnglishOxide Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Just get him in the team if Slimani is injured. It will be a bit of a mind**** for the team and they will either rally around him or close ranks and isolate him for thinking he is bigger than the team. I may be talking shit but any reaction is better than no reaction!
L Blocker Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I know I've made a stupid knee jerk statement when razzed off that hasn't left me looking the best before no, I can accept Ulloa has done the same
HankMarvin Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Realise that he doesn't need to go on strike and not get payed, probably won't get a sniff around the first team now unless we are desperate and he still gets paid

WestLothianFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Maybe he has realised he will be the main striker with us next year in the Championship after Vardy and Slimani leave when we are relegated.
Benguin Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I can't believe what I'm reading from people on here. A footballer wants to play football and is prepared to drop a league, go abroad or earn less money and has followed all the appropriate steps to do so. Ranieri is on record several times saying he'll help players leave if they're not happy. It's deadline day and he's not got his move despite loads of offers so his agent trys to push it through by getting Leo to tweet these protests. After following all the appropriate channels he didn't get a move and then after committing career suicide he didn't get a move and now he knows he's stuck at Leicester he's swallowed his pride and agreed he'll play. At the same time there are a bunch of twats playing for Leicester week in week out earning ridiculous sums of money who couldn't give a shit. We all want a player who will put in some effort and here we have one ready made and chomping at the bit to play football. Put Vardy in the bin, Ulloa up top and sing "oh his name is Leonardo" at the top of your voice at united or question your stupidity.
MrSpaM Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Do footballers all have something written into their contracts where they can't get sacked for gross misconduct or something? I'm glad Leo is staying, but it baffles me that footballers can just get away with things that would be in breach of contract anywhere else. If I publicly slagged my manager off like that I'd be sacked on the spot regardless of what my contract said
foxinsocks Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I like alloa - he played the cards he had but it wasn't enough to get him a transfer - his agent should have sorted out some reasonable bids from clubs we would sell to. He signed the contract with us and must comply with it at least until he next window - he should blame his agent not ranieri
lgfualol Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Play Slimani and Ulloa up front. Maybe both of them not having good ball control or touches will cancel each other out and we'll have two giant Messi's on our hands.
NewEnglandFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 We missed him last night. I'm not sure how stubborn you have to be to think we're more likely to score bringing on Okazaki than Ulloa. And then there is when we pair Musa and Vardy together which never works.

David Lowe Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 It is fine to ask the club for a move if you are not getting regular football. It is not fine to say you will never play again. Now he has not got the move he is going to look pretty stupid either way -either going on strike or playing again.
Moksky Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 He started off ok, but then dirfted back into waitng for the ball to be played. Last season he was darting around looking to be played in. This season the ball is played then he runs. The rawness has gone, perhaps overcoached and into all that 'conservation' of energy and extending his playing career. I called it over coaching. If you notice when a player plays for England they seem to come back and not do what they were doing to get into the England set up. Rooney is a class example. I watched his lack of movement and anticipation , and last nioght after the first 10 minutes he stopped , it was good to see a game from behind the goal. Shape and movement of players becomes more evident
richm77 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 2 hours ago, ClaphamFox said: Vardy worked very hard last night - he was making the same runs he was making last season and pressing their defence as well. He looked like he really wanted it. He wasn't getting any service, but that wasn't really his fault. Ulloa and Slimani are too similar. Playing both of them from the start would make us even more one-dimensional than we are already. A daft suggestion. Did you watch the game, sitter after Heaton spilled mahrez shot and a shoot from 10yards that travelled 40yards out for a throw and went nowhere near the goal all for a measly 120k a week, Vardy really working hard for his wages !! There all bad but strikers are judged on goals , I agree he normally works hard which I personally appreciate in a forward, but this year his goals and work rate have dried up. I have spent time defending him and the team against friends and family but it's time we all wake up we are not even average which even after last seasons achivements I would take but we are awful !!
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I'd be inclined to pick Ulloa to start next game. Turn this nonsense on its head and make a positive. He'd surely have to bust a guy as anything less than a 'trick' will lead to him being annihilated by the fans. If he got a goal all would be forgotten and he'd feel the blue love all over again. Beautiful!!
Jonezy Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Just get Leo and Slim in the box and let Albrighton cross it in all the time. Might as well go full hoof for survival...

Matt Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Fair play Ulloa, I am on your side anyway but well done for putting all this to one side. I can't see him playing anyway, Ranieri clearly doesn't want to use him, he'd rather have the bloke who cost almost 4 times more who's hardly any better, if any, or the £100k man who's stealing a living and thinks he's a celebrity. Hope it works out well and it's water under the bridge ...Unfortunately I think the bridge has already been burnt.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I think Leo did what he needed to do to further his career, and he continues to do so. I guess he accepts we couldn't sell him and knows he has a place in the team. A bit of brinkmanship, the club won but he is now looking to next season and needs to shine. It's in his interest now to play well and get his move in the summer, whatever the outcome he won't stay beyond that surely!
steflcfc Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Danmed if he does and damned if he don't. I think Leo had the balls to come out and say that he doesn't want to just train and sit on the bench getting 5 minute cameos...fair play, their are many footballers happy to do this and I'm glad he isn't one of them. It must be disheartening watching some of the play and wondering why he is struggling to get a game (when fit) He was prepared to drop wages and move country to get regular first team football and tried to push it through with the Transfer request, although I don't think he should have publicity slated the club with the broken promises etc to SSN as it massively undermined them. It was a shame only Sunderland came in with an appropriate offer, if we hadn't been languishing in the position we are and been safe top 10 then I think we would have got his wish. But with the situation we are in and selling to a club that will be in or a round where we are in the table, the club has played this correct, and now Ulloa is having to eat humble pie till the summer.

The criticism he's getting is largely because he decided to air his grievances in public. If he felt misled and let down, I understand that, but you don't come out and say those things in public. If he can't score for us on a regular basis what makes you think he would have gone to Sunderland and done it for them ?
