the problem is obvious!

drop Huth and Morgan it is sooooo plain to see they have post it completely lot it this season

Agree. Morgan looked so unfit and are the end of the game looked like he was gasping for breath.

Some guy on twitter suggesting (to Bert) Ranieri had to play one of the players contractually and the others aren't happy. Assume that may be Vardy but surely no clause would ever exist for such a demand??

Vardy has been left out on more than one occasion this season.

something has to happen, something needs to spark in the players, we are in a dire situation and no one knows what will happen. we are in a perilous situation and the owners need to do what is best for the club regardless of peoples opinions and loyalties. the players need a kick up the backside and telling frankly that the situation we find ourselves in is just not good enough or acceptable. not only does the players and the manager answerable but also the people like Rudkin and others who do the recruitment

I'm not sure changing the Manager is necessary, but something drastic needs to change.

All opposition teams have dropped deep on Vardy this season. This means that our defence has a lot more space in which to use the ball. The problem is that none of them can play the ball! I think this has led to a total loss of confidence in all of them, which is just leading to countless defensive errors every game.

For all the attacking talent we have on display, how many times do we work the ball into a situation to give any of our attacking players a one-on-one situation with their opponents?

Mahrez is always triple-marked because the opposition know they don't have to worry about Danny Simpson supporting an attack. Vardy's "service" is usually a hoof from one of the centre-backs. The Centre-midfielders know they can't rely on their full-backs to burst forward to give them an 'out ball', and they don't want to go back to Huth/Morgan cos all they can do is lump it forward.

I think we need to change our defensive strategy and use the defence to springboard attacks - the way Spurs do with their full-backs.

I would be in favour of changing three of the back four:

Albrighton - Morgan - Ndidi - Chilwell

Probably seems a bit desperate... but as we're conceding 3 goals a game, there doesn't seem much point in having 'defensive defenders'.

I think if Claudio really thought we could go down and he's failed in his job he would walk away rather than be sacked, I don't think we should sack him but I understand why some people do. Especially when other clubs seem to be getting better after sacking their own manager, how long that lasts remains to be seen. Next two games are going to be interesting

Think we need Ndidi in the middle of midfield tbh. The only player not scared to run with the ball.

True. Problem seems to be we need 11 Ndidi's right now!

Last season we really took off when we changed our two full-backs. Schlupp and De Laet went out and Simpson/Fuchs came in. This took a lot of teams by surprise as most other top teams use their full-backs to start attacks.

We have been found out. We're certainly not taking the opposition by surprise any more. Maybe we need to change it back.

Chilwell and Albrighton for full backs?

When did you change? Could've swore you were quite pro keeping him very recently. Not that I'm disagreeing.

I think how clueless Ranieri's looked this season further adds to last year. He got incredibly lucky.

I was only pro keeping Ranieri for the first few months of the season, just like everyone else. The last couple of months I've been ambivalent but now I have no doubt he needs to go. The only good performances this season that spring to mind are Burnley and Swansea at home and Bruges away.

There's not one thing I can say to defend Ranieri anymore. He appears to have lost the dressing room and coaching staff and is totally bereft of ideas to get us out of this mess, he's tried changing formations but for me there was no real strategy and was hoping something would work. The worst thing is though that I'm almost certain Ranieri has no idea how to get us out of this mess and if that's the case he's going to lead us into the Championship. I have no confidence in him that he knows what he's doing, he looks like a man hanging around for his pay off.

Bould is probably in his fifties now, but probably still do a better job at centre half than Morgan...

Oh, that's not what you meant, right?

This is almost exactly my position on the situation. Word for word.

Everything is going south. On the pitch, off the pitch. The transfer window summed that up, it was awful. How long do you leave it is the question, because Swansea is an absolutely massive game we cannot afford to piss around with.

The trigger desperately needs to be pulled. I'd be delighted to be proved wrong but there is no glimmer, no hope. We've gone from "don't worry there are three worse teams than us" to "we are the worst team" in the space of a month.

The longer we leave it, the worse it'll get. Everyone in the club is clearly not pulling in the right direction, it's obviously time for change before it's too late.

I'll make this point too - people saying stuff like "job for life" etc... will you be saying the same in the Championship? Because do you honestly see anything that this club has demonstrated in the past year that tells you we'll bounce back up? The rate we're going I'd back us to go down again rather than go up.

My worry is if they do get rid of him they'll not have a clue who to appoint. It's always scary when we need a new manager.

Well let's hope whoever is in charge of new managers isn't the same as player recruitment. Else we'll be stuck with someone like Billy Davies or Leyton Orient's u12 coach.

The way I see it we are down already, the defence is beyond repair.

So it's about either:

a) letting Ranieri continue, clearing the shit (if possible on their massive contracts) and launching a promotion bid.

b) letting Ranieri continue until the end of the season and cutting ties in the summer and finding a new manager when it's easier to do so rather than Februrary.

c) Sack Ranieri now and get your new man in so he can settle in until the summer and see where the issues lie and prepare for a promotion charge next year.

John Rudkin will be in charge of it mate, that's the horrifying thing. I hope he's not getting away with what's going on but I fear the Thai's give so much respect and freedom to the likes of Rudkin and Whelan that they'll get out of any off the pitch failings. Our only hope is quality candidates apply rather than us putting together a shortlist and going from our own fancies. I personally think they'll panic and Ranieri will get sacked this week.
