Last season it seemed a shoe in that Claudio would be forever remembered as the greatest City manager of all time , possibly just ahead of MON

fan's are always considered fickle and in Leicester we do Fickle like no other club in England !

Fascinated to see the result of this one

I still go with Martin. Sustained success over several years and got us a few trophies in those years as well. While bringing in some incredible talent under tough circumstances.

I respect Claudio for last season. But i do feel there was an element of the club just having years of hard work and building just falling into place all at once (no I'm not necessarily talking about Nige before anyone says it. Im talking about the building project the thais have been so good at managing). He rode a wave somewhat, don't get me wrong he rode the wave with elegance and kept it steady. But I'm not sure you can credit the title to just him.

Ranieri achieved the greatest feat of all time for the club, but that doesn't make him the greatest manager.

O'Neil was more consistent, with less money, and arguably a better man manager over a longer period.

If Ranieri can get us out of this mess, and then get us settled in the PL, and produce consistent results over an extended period, then he'd be the greatest manager.

Ranieri. MONs achievements were great, stability and batting a bit above our stature, but Ranieri completely rewrote the rule book on what a club of our size could achieve.

We had some bad runs under MON too. Not just when he was first employed but I'm sure prior to us winning at Old Trafford in 98 we hadn't won I or only won once in about 10 or 11 games. The issue we have we Claudio is the start contrast between to 2 season.

For me it is and will be Claudio. Even if the worst should happen and we go down.

MON was a great manager and will always rightly be a club legend for the sustained success he enjoyed.

But Claudio was at the helm and helped to mastermind success that very few clubs have ever and will ever be able to achieve. Let's remember, we are one of the 6 to have lifted the premier league trophy. As a club we all know our place is usually mid table in the PL at best, and often in between the PL and the championship. In 10, 20, 50 years time, I'll be able to remember and recall being champions of England. There are some achievements that are so big you only need one success to be the greatest.

O'Neill obviously never won the league but he was consistent and had us top 10 consistently.

I'm not sure winning the top flight then getting relegated is better than consistently being one of the top 10 clubs in the Country. To get to the top of something is hard but to stay there is more difficult.

With all due respect to Martin, I don't consider the top 10 'the top'.

I know up until last season the O'Neill era was our most successful period, but let's get real, it's not really a massive achievement for a club like us to finish in the top 10 a few times. Even in this era you've got clubs like Stoke doing it.

I think it's more important to do something really special as a manager, something that people are going to remember, rather than being consistently above average, but not that brilliant.

If we're talking about who the better manager is then surely we have to assess each one in their other jobs as well. But there's no doubt Ranieri's is the bigger achievement at our club.

It wasn't just the consistent top 10 finishes though.

Two league cup wins and another final in the space of just a few years was a pretty massive achievement for us at the time...
