CockneyFox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 A nice guy and respected manager but not the right fit for us. Shakey until the summer, and then make a strategic, well thought out appointment when we know which league we'll be in (!)

Maybe get Pardew to be his assistant too eh?
CKB Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Trying not to freak out but he's 7/4 with Sky Bet now, was 10-1 a couple of hours ago
onekeithweller Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I'd rather have Mark McGee and as for this post, I don't know why I'm here.
walkerleeds Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Starting to get vital Shakey gets that win on Saturday. Let's hope Hodgson isn't appointed before though..
Kendal Fox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Insane to even contemplate him!! If it really is true that the players couldn't understand let alone execute Claudio's more conservative tactics, just how the hell would they perform any differently with Hodgson? Add in that it's pretty common knowledge Vardy doesn't gel with him... No thanks..

Ask Blackburn and Liverpool fans about Hodgson. I won't even start on his embarrassing management of England in tournaments finals or that press conference after he'd resigned where he felt, despite his massive wage, that he shouldn't have to front up a debriefing with the press or the watching public.
AjcW Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Gone favourite on most sites now.... that's either a huge bet or a lot of action in a short space... either way points towards impending doom. He's dropped from 12/1 in an hour
Kendal Fox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I might add that I watched Steve Walsh earlier on SSN doing an interview for this Everton open day thing... Just interesting that he mentioned Nigel Pearson several times, and in a fond context. I'm starting to quite like the idea of Pearson back in time for that 2nd leg vs Sevilla...

I'd take the Nigel Pearson who does the Speedway commentating over Roy Hodgson and his morose manner!! The way he handled that press conference post England exit was a complete disgrace and should have put an end to his management career.

I can't see him inspiring the players... Man, if we get him, we'll fast become the new Newcastle United, who until Benitez, (who as good as he is, could'nt keep them up) were just appointing a succession of terrible, negative managers...
CKB Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 This has disaster written all over it! I'm just praying the bookies are just trolling but fvck I'm scared!
Kendal Fox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Surely, looking at it logically, the owners would'nt appoint Hodgson?! Why would they when Vardy, after scoring 24 goals and winning the Premier League, was treated in a 3rd rate manner at the Euros? Be madness, especially after he's up and running again with those goals last night.. It's too much of a risk with the bad blood there too.
Robin JD Popley Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Good thing we've played Swansea twice.. heard they've got a decent Icelandic.
car1os Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 No, just no. http://www.itv.com/news/central/2017-02-28/roy-hodgson-new-favourite-for-leicester-city-job/
bovril Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 He's nowhere near as bad as people make him out to be but I really wouldn't want him here for any length of time.
foxinsocks Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 ANYONE BUT PEARSON.... AND ROY... AND PARDEW... AND CURBISHLEY... ETC ETC
st albans fox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 He is 70. how long a contract can you offer a 70 year old ?? we wouldn't need to sack him - just creep up behind him and shout boo !
