Vardy's made a lot of runs, but not been found by his team mates. They don't have the end product or quality, to play a defence splitting through ball. Yes, I agree. England are not as good as Leicester City, the Champions of England. I loved writing that.

AjcW Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 JV is far too much of a team player for England. Needs to be more selfish
Koke Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 Kyle Walker is outstanding. This wing back role suits him.
RowlattsFox Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 At least some thought and tactics gone into the game so far. Forcing Germany to kick long, winning the header and it's nearly led to a couple of opportunities.

GaelicFox Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 Hate to say this as a paddy but feck me England were very very good in that half

Found him pretty disappointing myself, expected more from him. Looking for a negative pass more often than not and doesn't seem to want to get wide and get a ball in. Thought the position and space would suit him but I've not seen much meaningful play. That being said, he's been a mile better than Bertrand.

BoyJones Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 Decent performance, Livermore struggling, plus Lallana doesn't seem to have put that Liverpool miss out of his head. Vardy playing well, but only had one decent pass to feed off.

I'd personally prefer to see him pressing and putting tackles in, yeah his end product has been poor tonight, than the likes of Wilshere who stroll about playing nice passes but generally don't give a shit.

However the pundits didn't pick up on the other half of the game in which Vardy was on the last shoulder and English players haven't spotted it.
kingfox Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 Good signs in the first half, just need more confidence in the final third.
matty98 Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 The reason Vardy's been dropping deep is because when he's on the shoulder they don't play the pass quick enough as Lallana has to have atleast 5 touches before he passes.

Agreed he's held himself back at times but for him to slate him oh "he'd be doing that for Leicester". Like you said, didn't pick up on the occassions he made the runs but the ball wasn't played.
potter3 Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 Really weird not to hear a crowd roar as soon as that ball to Vardy was played through
AjcW Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 Kyle Walker is consistently the only one who ever seems to give a shit on international duty. Quality attacking wing back.

Whether you like them or not, England have always had one of the biggest away followings in world football. foxes21 Posted 22 March 2017 Posted 22 March 2017 thank god we don't have to watch this dross every week. hope leicester never change their style of play, a lot more exciting then this rubbish.
