I'd be surprised if there are fireworks...UEFA don't even let us play PHG!

Don't like flags but let's face it we're a laughing stock anyway because of the clappers so it's not as if things can get much worse.

Had to laugh at that bloke at Palace during half time during the kids' penalty thing, when he turned around to us and shouted "come on Leicester fans, get your clappers out".

When the staff at Palace are taking the piss you know it's bad...

Agree with other posters though - there's bugger all we can do about it now so let's just get on with it

Tbf, it's time to double down when Palace are taking the piss.

It was stated in the email that was sent round to contributors and members that it was a decision taken by LCFC and not UEFA.

Fair enough it was just a thought.

I agree but Man Utd and Chelsea have had flags for big Champions League nights as well so it's not as tinpot as it appears.

I'm not fussed either way tbh.

Looks good.

Im glad the club have taken some influence from UFS ....and at least they will be able to use the planned tifo in the future :)

Palace have got a massive chip on their shoulder, with Leicester City. Massive.

They think they invented tifos, ultras, songs and much more but in reality they didn't. We've got a group what is doing something better than them and they don't really like it. I mean come on they waited in the ground to steal two flags and call it a victory ffs. They're the biggest bunch of crumpets going.

Always like the UFS ones but think it looks great. Nice to have the whole ground involved too. Atmosphere should be cranked up.

Hopefully Fearless doesn't appear anywhete. Surprised UEFA allow it tbh.

Palace are a small club with a small fan base. They're same size as Fulham and Hull. It's best to ignore them. We've always been bigger and better than Palace.

They do have a massive inferiority complex.

So when Barcelona turn their entire stadium in to one massive banner covering 100,000 seats with MES QUE UN CLUB and red and blue stripes it's tinpot rubbish from the club interfering, right?

Disagree with you there. Let's be honest, the LCFC songbook is hardly a challenging repertoire is it? - 90% of it is adapted/appropriated from other terraces. I've always found Palace fans to be very fervent, very loud and yeah they do have original songs - more so than Leicester who let's face it, struggle these days to string the lyrics of 'When Your Smiling' together. If Celtic introduced that shite now obligatory St.Pauli chant into Scottish football, Palace brought it south of the border - the one Leicester fans embarrassingly and prescriptively launch into about five minutes into each game. You can time your watch by the Leicester chants it's that predictable. We're louder than Palace - home and away, but when it comes to originality, it's cringeworthy. Saying that - we have the most intimidating home stadium in the league and in forty years of football, I've never experienced an atmosphere like the home tie with Sevilla.

I remember Man Utd giving 1000s of flags to their fans in a big Champions League knockout game years ago. Chelsea have done that too but it's apparently okay if they do it but it's small time if we do it.

We've got our own songs probably more than them too, can't remember the last time we sang we love you to be honest. My only concern with our fans is we want to sing every ****ing song at 100mph

Exactly this! and did anymore else notice sections of Man United have clappers on Sunday against Chelsea which i will add were sponsored by THE SUN?! Tip Pot them up at Old Trafford!

Five minutes into the last home game?

Own songs? Maybe you're right, but you'll have to help me out here, because bar a few old ones In all honesty I can't think of any currently sung that are non-generic, haven't been adapted from elsewhere or otherwise done before with different words.

It's like the Cambiasso one - how many on here were complaining because they thought it had been stolen not realising ManU did it years before for Carrick?

I'm going to be boring as hell now and I don't care as I will campaign on this issue till we get it right.

We do have a brilliant, original song!

                 When You're Smiling.

The problem is that it is sang far too fast and people have forgotten how the ending goes.

We need the club to play the Sinatra or Nat King Cole version, 4 mins before every game.

People will then learn its pace properly and will be able to sing it during a game.

Otherwise, I don't care what Palace or anyone else thinks of us, sod 'em.  Last year we were everyone's 2nd club, now they all hate us, so what, who gives a toss what they think.

If you just scream, hit your clappers or nick other people's chants, so what? As long as you're making some noise to support the team.

The palace 'ultras' are the most embarrassing bunch of fans I've seen.

You're sat/stood in the wrong part of the ground by the sounds of things mate :)

I've sat in every part of the ground and I sat (and stood)  in every "part of" Filbert Street. Like I say, you rarely hear an original LCFC song that isn't generic or hasn't been borrowed and had the words changed including L1 and the Kop. Just an observation - happy to be proved otherwise. The West Stand can be a bit staid in places, but as I said before I think that on its day, the King Power is one of the most vibrant stadiums in the nation.

Out of interest what do you find embarrassing about them?

Well. Baker, you sit with the UFS do you not? Claiming a victory when they stayed in the ground 'looking for a phone nicking flags' is a very good start.
