Harry Maguire looks a bargain at this rate!

I like Harry. But cmon...let's have some perspective. We currently have conceded the most goals from set pieces in the whole Premiership. Something isn't quite right is it. He's a major bargain of course.

Might be his fault for conceding fouls leading to goals, not sure what the stats on that are, but I don't think you can blame Maguire that much for conceding the goals from the free kicks per se, thats down to our keeper leaving half the goal empty, persistently.

£12m is still a bargain though.

How come Spurs have a game week off? Is it a Wembley thing?

Don't care make Harry Kane your captain the following week v Swansea and West Ham and you get 2 games for the price of one gameweek in FPL!

Don't fail me now mouthbreather!

Good news is that we can't possibly sell Maguire for less than 90m in the summer.

Better player, younger and English.

Van Dijk for 75 million is madness!

Southampton must be bloody sick of Liverpool taking their players. How many now is it - Clyne, Lovren, Lallana, Lambert, Mane and now Van Dijk.

Gary Neville described Newcastle's tactics tonight as "embarrasing" at one point towards tonight.

Id like to think a man sacked at valencia and masterminding a woeful 7-0 defeat against an equivalent standard to man city barca side, and a man who was part of a coaching team that saw england lose to iceland in the euros would be less forthright in his judgement of Benitez and his approach to the game.

Setting up teams to lose 7-0 to teams who have won 17 in a row is very easy.

Whatever you think of Neville, Newcastle were thoroughly embarrassing in that first 30 minutes.

Made no effort whatsoever to get further than 30 yards away from their own goal. After they conceded they decided to have a go and they showed that they're capable.

I've never seen a side play like that in England. Even FA Cup games like Sutton vs Arsenal.

"Having a go" as fans love to say could just as easily see you behind early and get pummelled.

Newcastle have a team of championship players and stayed in the game as long as they could do in hope of nicking something.

Thats a legitimate tactic and not worthy of being called "embarrasing".

And certainly not by someone who cant manage whos skill is waving a stylus pen and pressing pause on a video.

It's not about going gung ho.

It's about moving out of your defence, having a go at scoring a goal and relieving the massive pressure.

Newcastle have a team of Premier League players. They've all earned the right to play against Man City.

Utterly embarrassing tactics from Benitez. It's not even remotely close to being a clever tactic. As Sky said at half time, Man City had the most shots of any game this season after 45 minutes.

There's no way Van Dijk is worth £75m. No way. He's a good player but wow. For £75m you should be getting one of the world's best CBs and Van Dijk is nowhere near imho.

Well done Southampton for another piece of incredible business.

True, but they seem their own downfall in ambition - regularly selling to make profit but fail to build on the team/squad.

What’s the alternative? Van dyke stays and they finish 10- 14 in the league?
