Exactly. absolutely nothing to lose.

It doesn't say a lot about the non first team players when he'd rather have no one there than a development player. If injuries are that much of a concern he had the option of giving someone their debut on 75 mins if they were three goals up and put less strain and risk on the first team squad.,

Attention seeking and poor management for me, there is nothing to lose by putting a random player as 7th substitute.

They are clearly struggling for players and it is our fault for not letting them have Mahrez for peanuts

Yeh Pep is playing games just like Jose does. Absolute disgrace. A big team hasnt got their own way so he's kicking back and trying to prove a point. Well nobody is buying it Pep you stupid pr*ck. Nobody is going to accept that the team with one of the biggest squads in the league can only use 6 subs. I used to like Pep but be is becoming just like Jose. I think Pochetino is the only likeable guy out of the top managers, the rest are all bell ends!

i'm not arguing against that, they don't need players, they need quality players who can just slide in and do a job

think he's doing that to make sure that riyad doesn't budge and keep on missing training. this is getting nasty

Indeed, like you said it was easy to just put a youngster in if need be... but this is a statement and it is just a joke

what a screamer

Danilo along with Patrick Roberts and 50M and we might have been talking.  And not touching Pep's top XI.

(On a note more appropriate to this thread) what are Burnley going to do with that squad if they make Euro qualifiers?  They are easily good enough to make the competition.  But would need how many more players to avoid crashing in one or both competitions?

they are made to slug-it-out in the league. i don't think they can do much in a european competition

But if you look at the sides in the qualifiers, most are crap compared to the PL.  I am trying to imagine how Burnley handles that, the group stage, and the league season, with their relatively thin squad and budget.

burnley have scored 8 home goals in 13 games, not won in 8 (9 after they don’t win today) have never won from behind in the premier league AND ARE SEVENTH
