Said it before but happy to say it again. Seamus Coleman will go down as one of the most underrated players in Premier League history.

Feel quite sad for him that injuries got in the way of that Man Utd move. He’s top class.

Always plays well against us lol

i know i day it every week but this fu cking league, man. this match of the day has been horrendous, from what i’ve seen i reckon that probably all of stoke, watford, southampton, brighton, newcastle, burnley, us, everton and west ham and palace all deserved to lose. and probably none of us will be going down. incredible.

Nah, he's old enough to play, he's in his late 20's now.

Barkley starts, Drinky on the bench, what a terrible decision he’s made career wise going there, ££££££ talks I guess.

Pretty sure he knew he'd be a periphery player there. Never gonna get in ahead ahead of Kante, Fabregas or Bakayogo. Probably got a sweet little pay rise and a nice house in West London now though.

Interesting to see that West Ham Director of Player Recruitment Tony Henry has been suspended following statements regarding African players:

Quote

According to the Daily Mail, Henry said the Premier League club wanted to limit the number of African players because “they have a bad attitude” and “cause mayhem” when they are not in the team.

I then couldn't help but think of Mahrez and Slimani.

If you hold those views than at least have the good sense not to express those views in an email. Idiot.

Having said that, the first part of that article is about West Ham trying to avoid the signing of African players, the second is about West Ham trying to sign Islam Slimani who, to the best of my knowledge, is African.

As a fan I'd be pretty pissed off at stuff like that. At the end of the day I couldn't give a shite what colour your skin is what beliefs you have or who you fancy. who gives a **** about any of that? I'm there to watch them play football the rest is irrelevant

Was it really for the money? I thought that He’s on about the same as he was here.

but anyway He knew what he was getting into by moving

let’s sum up the scenarios

play 40 odd times for leicester a season and have typically have nothing to show for it at the end of the season

or

play 20/25 times for Chelsea a season and be contenders for the premier league title, FA cup, league cup, play in a European competition

Thought Raheem Sterling was around 27/28 mark, but he's still only 23.

Seems as if he's been in the game for ages.

I don't resent players signing for the top clubs as it's not always about money. Obviously it helps but generally you'll achieve more. Drinkwater however has definitely made the wrong move. He'll be back here or at Everton within a year and I'm calling the latter.

Only he’s sitting on his backside watching other players play, I know it’s a squad game now but he’s made 10 appearances so far this season (Wikipedia stat so may not be correct) if Chelsea win a trophy or 2 this season he will get his medals, the same as for example Richie De Laet won a Premier League winners medal, but it’ll be a bit part, a largely insignificant role.

Chelsea will end up revamping their squad again, possibly change the Manager, it’ll be interesting to see what happens to Drinkwater then, but he’ll never be first choice for them, I guess it’s about the mentality of the individual player, some are happy playing every so often whilst others want to play every game.

Just what I was going to say. You can hardly compare the bit part he’s playing now in whatever success Chelsea can retrieve from this season, with the major role he played in Leicester’s once in a century achievement.

#freemahrez

It's like setting the table at Christmas for a relative who has died. lol

Absolutely pathetic by Pep, he could have stuck a third goalkeeper on there in the extremely unlikely event both GK's get injured or sent off, absolutely nothing to lose and a miniscule chance of being something to gain.
