Ive seen enough games and enough players over the years to know how big a loss this would be. The lad is next level and you all know this. All silliness aside, I do agree with you but I think if he stays he'll do more harm than good, unless of cause he gets his head back in the game. We move on, I doubt we will ever win the league again and do he'll always be part of that special squad of players we had.

I believe he said he wanted a new experience playing in an different league for a club who finished 4 points off the championship that also regularly qualifies for the champions league sort of fills that criteria Of course he said that . there is no room for interpretation. The reality is he would be playing in a poorer league ( most of the world would rather watch the English premier league ). Think of all the other also ran clubs that regularly qualify for the champions league because of their respective poor leagues , not because they have any chance of winning it or even getting close. Roma are not a big club and never will be . The truth lies with the fact that Mahrez or his agent genuinely thought if he put himself in the shop window the real big clubs would be all over themselves coming in to snap him up . He thought wrong and it has backfired on him to the extent that the only club that looks interested Roma are not even as good as us . What an embarrassment.

Almo-Fox Posted 16 July 2017 Posted 16 July 2017 Mahrez and kante : the one more season Kante was revealed to the world of football on the Leicester scenery , got with trophy , shoed real top qualities and got a big club call and a new manager new project He is happy and football is happy and leicester got praises for his POTY award In the meantime big 7 top clubs in the EPL tottenham showed consistency Liverpool got new project with new manager with new signings as Sado Mane RW is a regular first team starter ( bought Salah for his pace ) Arsenal already have their attacking positions filled by stars like Sanchez or ozil, need strengeting with CM positions to allow their winning formation 343 to be applied mostly this season ( they are heatedly after Thomas lemar not as RW but as a versatile player ( CM R/L W , this is why AW is looking for mahrez as second choice un nvestment because he came one season late ) Man city s guardioua second season has attacking positkions filled ( sterling Leroy sane , mahrez cannot be targeted as a back up ) Mahrez one more season ( 2016/17 ) has came after all top clubs have their formation settled , and from the EPL only club that is ready to change the formation for him that can have mahrez services , Chelsea may be tottenham may be, and arsenal may be if Sanchez leaves ( as he said he want to play CL and win it ) or Roma or stay at Leicester since CS is strengeting many positions and mahrez has to earn his first team place because no player is bigger that lthe club , but the club is bigger than any player , and no player own the club , but the club own the plsyers , and no player can blame the fans , but the fans can blame the player, So mahrez can leave leceister but in Leicester terms and it's benefits , do if Roma came with any offer less than 40 m is considered as an insult to Leicester and its fans even if mahrez agrees

UPinCarolina Posted 16 July 2017 Posted 16 July 2017 If he stays with us, I have very high hopes for him. I suspect that he'll be motivated and properly up for each match, and that this has been a humbling experience. The whole thing, from the beginning, felt like the manipulations of an agent and not the player.

Pretty much when the whole of Scotland supports rangers or celtic (fans of other teams.... well lets be honest they are all closeted fans deep down) then sure they are bigger. Toss in Irish celtics fans as well.

Do you seriously think anyone outside of Scotland gives a toss about Celtic or any other scottish club for that matter ? No one watches scottish football except the Jocks . They are a big fish in a very little pool. I doubt any of their players would last five minutes in the English Prem.

UPinCarolina Posted 17 July 2017 Posted 17 July 2017 Yeah, you'll see Celtic shirts in the States fairly often.
