Lambert09 Posted 17 July 2017 Share Posted 17 July 2017 Im surprised Slimani isn't getting a mention here. Imagine starting a game with Alrbrighron on one wing and siggy on the other. Slimani needs the ball played to his head and these boys would certainly deliver that. He'd be scoring for fun. Am I the only one thinking this? Am I the only one thinking this? We should be building our game around Vardy, the much more complete striker, not Slimani. Buying a player because it suits one of your very average strikers is insane. And £50 million is insane. Utterly ridiculous price for a player who can't even skin anyone. If we want someone good with dead balls let's just get Gallagher or Guppy back. That isn't worth £50m.
Lambert09 Posted 17 July 2017 Share Posted 17 July 2017 Siggy isn't exactly one dimensional, he would work well in the squad without Slimani. I just think that it could be one hell of an option if Vardy gets injured or a plan B is needed. But you never know how a season progresses, plan B easily becomes plan A

Nice problem to have, mind i agree with u , but if u are buying good players they have to play, and iam sure with a midfield of albrighton, niddi drinwater and iborra, siggy and iheanacho could play a more attacking role. lets hope we have the chance to see it happen. One of the reasons managers play 3ATB is the flexibility that the wingbacks provide. It allows you to overwhelm the opposition without being too exposed defensively. You can just put the wingbacks as fullbacks and you have 5ATB. Any side with fast wingers/fullbacks would eat this side alive. Putting Drinkwater instead of n'didi who is a proper DM, putting iborra who lacks the pace on the side. Playing kelechi on LW, and playing Marc which both of his main attributes aren't much needed (crosses because there is no slimani, and work rate because the team needs creativity more than defensive help) A better formation would be: Kasper. Simmo. Huth. Maguire Marc. N'didi iborra Ben Siggy slimani Vardy Or Kasper. A new CB/wes. Huth. Maguire Marc. N'didi drinky Ben boudebouz Kelechi Vardy

Merging Cultures Posted 18 July 2017 Share Posted 18 July 2017 This would be tasty, 3-5-2 with Ihaenacho just behind Vardy probably.KSEvans Huth MaguireAlbrighton Siggy Ndidi Iborra ChilwellIhaenachoVardyWould be harsh to drop Drinkwater to the bench, but he did underperform last season. TrentFox Posted 18 July 2017 Share Posted 18 July 2017 Like the look of that. A lot. A flat front two with Everton's Siggy in behind. Have to make do with RM until deadline day!! Would also love to have Jeff where Ben is ?
