I don't think he's the sort of bloke to get worked up about not getting that final 5 minutes so we shouldn't either. Bye Wasyl! I am sorry, but it shown a lack of thought, and lack of form. The Shakespeare, nor club seen or felt the sense of it.... Another thing on such occasions, he could of been presented, and honourary Pl medal from the club. Just a gesture.....a thankyou. Today nothing to do with Marcin, My club failed to show that bit of "Class" and should feel a little perturbed and embarrased... We put up a bloody plane for owners Birthday and ++++. !!!. ???

I agree with you, a PL winner's medal and a few minutes today were the least that Wasilewski deserved. All I'm saying is that he doesn't seem the type to sulk about it. I'm sure he appreciates the fact that he's still playing football given the horrific injury he suffered at Anderlecht.

In the old days, such players, would of squeezed in a testamonial (yrs served he isnt due one). So in someway, its not about him or his layed back thinking....It is/was the clubs duty to a club servant, To have given him something....'5' minutes, and then a plaque, an organised wave and goodbye to the fans. fuchsntf Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 Unfortunately, I cant do it, but it would be great if a couple of posters, could rummidge up, highlights of his best moments, not jus the heavy stuff, but there was a Sky clip a couple of years ago actually showing, his defence then forwatd movements, one where we picked it up from deep, made a fast drive forward, and clippid a sublime pass to the wing (Albrighton I believe).
foxy boxing Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 Cheers Was. you were an immense character at the club
LittlethorpeFox Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 What other players are being released does anybody know?

The big man deserved his 5 minute with the fans....... Oh come on! We needed to try and win the game and bringing on a centre back is not going to help us. He got about 10 minutes purely dedicated to him after the final whistle which was far more than I can remember us giving to anyone else. All this considering he has only played for a few minutes in last last couple of seasons. Shakespeare had to do what was best for him and the team trying to win a game of football.
foxy boxing Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 I just can't understand why we didn't have a guard of honour for him during the match. someone could have kicked the ball out, both teams could have quickly formed a line for him to come onto the pitch and get all the adulation from the fans and the players! i just can't believe we didn't do that for him the day should have been all about Was
Jonezy Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 All the best big man! We need more players with your attitude!

I could have had first and last goal scorer with bookies.?

Neither you or Shakey, will understand. If we had seen him don that shirt..for those 5 minutes he would of either.... #had a great Debate with the ref. Then clock him one... #put one of the cherry strikers, high up into the stands, then exchang pleasantries with Howe... Or...now think hard about this....Think about those silly dreams, and moments that only this club can create.. # He could of SCORED, sending you and nation of Leicester..into delerium... 1st create the platform (sub), set up the dream..free kick/corner... Let loose our very own and only true "Dog of War" ..Marcin Wasilewski. GGGGGGoooooooooooooaaaaaalllllLLLLLLLLLLL...... Mayhem, tears, another memory to be wriiten in our own little jewels of history. Its about, the moment about the dare....about the tribute....
filbertway Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 Wouldn't consider him a legend but more of a cult hero at the club. Endears himself to the fans of the clubs he has played for and sounds like he's a model pro. Can't say I've wanted him to play any games in the past 2 season, but thought he should have been given 5 or 10 minutes at the end of the last game. The money is trivial at this point so I'm not having that as an excuse. Same could be said of giving Gray some starts. It's best for both parties to call it a day now to allow us to bring through younger talent. Good luck in whatever you choose to do next Was!
Chico1958 Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 When Benny got taken off, it was the ideal time to swap like for like One nutter for another nutter.............. In a good way Legend, probably not given his game time but Cult Villain maybe Anyway, his Leicester Project is over........ Best of luck to the guy on his next one As for Shakespeares answer, says it all really. Ps: Dog of War........ Brilliant

Drift Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 Here's my video from yesterday. Sorry about the quality but I was streaming live on Facebook and the signal was a bit rubbish. The messages for Wasyl are about 6 minutes in.
fazzyfox Posted 22 May 2017 Posted 22 May 2017 It has been debated elsewhere about whether Kingy is due a ten year service testimonial. If this happens it would be an ideal channce for Was to get a farewell game, just could be awkward if he gets more or the rapore with the fans than King on the day!

Do you understand modern day football,it's a business,we were drawing 1-1 and a winning goal was worth millions to the club, had slimanis header gone in wasyl would have been straight on,you could see how gutted wasyl was when warming up when slimani missed that header, but with the clock ticking it's not about doing what some feel is the right thing to do in terms of giving him a good send off,it's about results and wasyl wasn't going to impact the game from a winning point of view with it being 1-1, i personally though he would start, and would love to have seen him play one last time, but I also understand why he didn't get on
