They had to say that or Marcin would have chinned them.

:D

Yes, that occurred to me, too.

It's a phrase you never want to have to use in life: "I'm sorry, Marcin, we're not offering you another contract...."

Hope he starts tomorrow to come off to a standing ovation. We got him past his prime, but he did put in a number of solid performances over the years. Definitely a great character to have around the club too.

Him, huth and Morgan at the back was the building blocks of our great escape

The man bleeds love for the game, unfortunately he's a dying breed of player

He's shit at football and is a thug. Utter disgrace that he's anywhere near the first team now. Wouldn't want him at the club in any capacity next season.

You'd say that to his face of course!

I don't reckon many players in the modern game would get a bus load of fans from one of their previous clubs travel to another country to come and watch them play.

I thought that was an amazing gesture from the Anderlect fans that night and just goes to show what they think of him as a person.

Not the most gifted we've seen at Leicester but certainly one of the toughest. Reading Shakey's comments just now he's obviously a leader of men and model professional.

Proud that he played for us really...

One of the biggest injustices in modern football that he hadn't received officially Premier League winner's medal (302 minutes in the season), and people like Amartey (102) or Inler (194) got one. Screw you, Ranieri 5 games rule!

Happy retirement Was

The article on the Leicester website said he was planning on carrying on playing.

I'd love it if he gets the City badge tattooed onto his other calf.

Absolute legend. One of my favourite moments is in this video. Vardy was carrying a leg injury at the time.

He'll be missed. There aren't many players like him in this league. He's a bit out of his depth on the pitch now, but he's clearly a good character and it's been well worth it for us. We even managed to make some friends through the signing.

Hope he gets some time tomorrow and I'd imagine he probably will. I'm gonna have a fiver on him to score. I think if we get a penalty he'll take it.

Hope people's memory of big marcin isn't clouded by these last two seasons he wasn't always a big, clumsy, slow overgrown mascot who was a good to have around the place.

On his day in the promotion season and in the great escape he was a seriously good player. I've been going down city around 25 years and he is comfatably in the top 10 center backs I've seen at the KP or filbo.

His positioning and reading of the game were almost as good as his heading and tackling.

I know we are getting quite spoilt at city with the amount of top players that are coming and going but I will not forget Was in a hurry.

Dziękuję Ci Marcin

My tribute to him..

One of the most underrated players over the last 4 years.

One of the Best technical CBs, who ever put on that Leicester shirt.

wish he came to us 4yrs younger.

Ranieri had nothing he could teach him, if he had of been 2yrs younger, its a player like Wasl

that might of saved Claudios tenure. We might not of lost so many games.

It was the Huth signing, that help to turn the tide, but it was Wasyls game that gave us that character from within.

The great escape year he was my  POTS.

outclassed outmanoeuvred his critics on this forum, by proving he wasnt a walking red.

I.King, Sjoberg, Cross, Blockley, Elliot, Walsh, Manley......Wasilewski.  pick your bones out of that.

Thanks for your service to the club, you will be missed, you had and more importantly carried class....

Great servant. Remembered when he signed, I thought (due to his age) he would be here for six months. His role in the promotion and subsequent great escape season will always be fondly remember.

Thanks Was. If we could find a guy like you but ten years younger in the summer, we'll have done well.

YOU DON'T NEED LEG

Posted

I always bracketed him in the same category as Tunchev, Two talented CBs who came to us late in their careers. Both very commanding and talented at their best. Sadly his legs are gone and so it's the right decision for everyone.

The fact that he's chosen to go himself rather than to wait and be pushed shows the measure of the Man.

Had he played on Thursday there's no way Kane would have got 4 goals.

Good luck to you sir where ever you decide to go and do.
