Molson Canadian Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 LEICESTER IN FOR THOMAS Leicester have made an offer of just under £500,000 for Coventry youngster George Thomas,Sky Sports News HQ understands. The 20-year-old is out of contract but Coventry are due compensation and the Foxes are trying to negotiate a settlement. Thomas - a Wales U20 international who scored the winner for Coventry in their EFL Trophy triumph at Wembley in April - is also of interest to Swansea. He is a product of Coventry's academy and the club offered him a new deal, meaning they are due compensation for a player who has been on their books for 11 years.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 A nice chap. Met and he still lives in Leicester
kingfox Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 Coventry have a lot of youngsters with good growth on FIFA
Clever Fox Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 We'll probably wait and buy him in two years for 20 Million like we done with Maguire.

UPinCarolina Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 We've not splashed the cash but I'm happy with our spending on some of these developmental projects. Shows long-term planning and could pay big dividends down the road as the costs of player purchases continue to rise.

waylander Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Be good too take him so they can't use him were massive .
block15ccfc Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Surprised so many clubs are after him. Was decent for us last season, but didn't set the world alight. Couldn't imagine him being anything special in the Championship, let alone the top flight. Most fans will be disappointed that he'll be gone as he scored the winner in the final.

ALC Fox Posted 23 July 2017 Posted 23 July 2017 http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/leicester-closing-in-on-coventry-george-thomas-500000-deal-a7856066.html Apparently he's on the verge of signing for us. It looks like we're really stepping up our recruitment in terms of young, promising talent. The article says he's likely to be loaned out, which makes sense as he's used to first team senior football and it will be interesting to see how he develops. In an ideal world, he'd go straight back to Cov as he knows the club and the setup. But I guess we might want him playing at a higher level - maybe League One or even Championship - and at a club that's a little less volatile.

mozartfox Posted 23 July 2017 Posted 23 July 2017 Amazing when you think he will cost more than Mahrez did.

Apparently he's a very good finisher and quite determined but other than that he's nothing fancy.
