I do hope we are gonna sign a couple more. What is Shakey's intention? To bore us all to death?

Seems that way doesn't it. It's hard to feel optimistic given we've seen how poor this group can be without N'golo dragging them up a few levels.

I think the plan is to concede less. That likely means we'll score less also. With Mahrez likely going it means he won't be taking up two or three players and so Vardy will get fewer chances. Which brings us back to the creative player we badly need. Why can't Shakey see that?

Bidding £40m for a creative player but he can't see that we need it? ?

Maybe he is hoping Mahrez will stay and he won't need to get one, if he goes im certain we have options lined up.

I hope you're right, I believe Shakey is trying to convince Mahrez to stay. At least for one more season. Get him back to his best and then they will be cueing up for him.

I still believe we need one more creative player. I'd sooner we moved on from Gylfi though and let Swansea screw Everton.

I think the OP is probably right just going on the lack of transfer rumour going around.  Apart from the excrutiating KI saga, all our other links seem to have gone cold.

Absolutely no way in he'll that we're done after Iheanacho.

We've lost Was, RRZ and Kaputska from the squad. None of whom are maker losses to the firSt team but all are options that we don't have any more. We will certainly lose more. Mendy could well go, Lawrence could well go, slim/Ulloa is a possibility and Mahrez has a high chance of going.... the idea of not signing anyone else is ludicrous.

What?

Was and RRZ have both been replaced. As for Kaputska we have never had a player by that name.

All those weeks chasing Iborra .......................

With everyone watching and pitching inflated high prices to EPL clubs it's a giant game of KerPlunk. All the straws will come out at the final hour and those balls will fall. Until then every club is just watching what straws are twitching and who's going to pull first. Ages to go yet.

So as much as it was my opinion I'd add that I think we do have to make signings this season to improve but the way we go about things is different to other clubs in that we like to know the player, assess if they have the attributes technically and personality wise, before we go for them. I've had much more of an insight this season to others and it's definitely an eye opener as to how we operate. It may seem quiet but we are certainly busy behind the scenes. I would also not underestimate the contacts and influence of our scouts. Having said that, we've had a number of targets which have not come off, I don't know names, but I believe it's been as a result of of being outbid, and outoriced just because of the money now involved. I'd think Siggy and Evans are two more obvious examples of this.

I'd say that we're all done in terms of players we've tracked for a while and probably struggling to get the type of players we'd like to have. It's going to take some bold moves break from this approach and I reckon this involve going for some unscouted (or properly unscouted) players if we want to make some improvements. Or make some big plays to get in some of the players we've watched for some time

I've just read that Everton is hoping to bring in another 3 players before the league starts. They're certainly intent on making an impact this season good or bad.

Our club are very good at keeping business quiet. We should be pleased. If Riyad goes it'll be dependent on us having something else lined up I'd say and there's probably a few other transfers underway. Patience.

If Riyad goes late in the window and apart from the fact that any club we deal with will, knowing how desperate we are, metaphorically pull down our pants and bend us over in negotiations. Do you have any faith in Rudkin to get a deal like that done ?

I'm sure I read that Leicester have told the clubs interested in Riyad

to agree a fee before the season starts or he will not be sold.

It's quite fashionable to bash Rudkin and bitch and moan, but we've actually done quite well already with Mguire, Iborra and the keeper, and Kelechi iminant. That's a new spine. Mahrez was always going to go, it's ok to moan about replacing him and bang on about Ziyech and Boubadouz, they don't want to play

for Leicester. Last season was the time to capitalise. We didn't. Now we're back to being an unglamorous option again.

Do we know that? I thought we hadn't been linked let alone bid.

One down, One more player to come in then I suppose, a defender perhaps?

Of cause I still think a versatile midfielder and right back are needed but perhaps we need to ship out a couple of fringe players first.
