He doesn't really. It's a 9.5 hour flight to Zambia or wherever he was going so the sensible thing was to stay in Europe in case there was a move from anyone. Imagine if he got on the flight and Barca called he would have had to then fly back to London to get to Spain which wouldn't have happened in time. He was just covering all bases

Nobody comes out of this shambles with any credit.

 

1 - Mahrez speaking out saying he wants to leave to a champions league playing club after not looking interested for nearly all of last season.

 

2 - His agent who was the one who told him to get on a plane to Europe and not having a club for him to go to.

 

3 - LCFC  getting him to sign a new improved contract and someone promising him that he could leave this summer. if it was Ranieri so what he is no lomger here, but surely whoever was involved with the contract negotiations knew as well.

I'm not saying we should I answered a question about bookies not paying out just because he will be a lcfc player tonight doesn't mean he will be tomorrow
