To be fair to our club, until a couple of days ago there'd been no apparent bid, and little interest, in Drinkwater. And the only club showing concrete interest in Mahrez submitted derisory bids that were immediately knocked back and had no chance of succeeding. So the club could be forgiven for expecting both to be still here at the end of the window.

If we don't sign a winger I can't see us letting him go. Barca will know this and know that it's today or never if they want him.
