Nobody comes out of this shambles with any credit.

1 - Mahrez speaking out saying he wants to leave to a champions league playing club after not looking interested for nearly all of last season.

2 - His agent who was the one who told him to get on a plane to Europe and not having a club for him to go to.

3 - LCFC  getting him to sign a new improved contract and someone promising him that he could leave this summer. if it was Ranieri so what he is no lomger here, but surely whoever was involved with the contract negotiations knew as well.

On point 2. This was a sensible move, the guy openly wants a move away so staying in Europe rather than getting on 9 hour flight is just common sense. Nobody can blame him for that

He'll knuckle down, carry on playing for us and look forward to January. I hope he stays because if he does I'm going to have a field day calling out all these suposid ITK's.

I wonder if Shakey will start him against Liverpool in the cup or rest him for the league.....

Where has he been today?

Now he looks like a moron! If it's the fault of his agent. Than he needs to get a new one, he is losing it with everyone!

The only good thing is that he is staying, but now he is the punchline for many, many jokes around the league!

He doesn't have a problem staying here, but him running around like this isn't doing him any favours!

He doesn't really. It's a 9.5 hour flight to Zambia or wherever he was going so the sensible thing was to stay in Europe in case there was a move from anyone. Imagine if he got on the flight and Barca called he would have had to then fly back to London to get to Spain which wouldn't have happened in time. He was just covering all bases

This ?

Waiting for a club to pay his asking price by the looks of it which so far obviously hasn't happened! I've said all along that the owners simply will not be bullied into accepting even a penny under their valuation.

I could be wrong but what I was told an hour ago nothing's on the cards and unless Barca make a panic offer tomorrow he's staying put

Does that mean we are expected to accept any offer that comes our way, no matter how derisory?

I think the club is prepared to give him his move but there's no way they are going to have their pants pulled down.

Sadly, Riyad has made an arse of himself not the club.

I think Mahrez just wanted to be in a position to sign for someone if something come up, it would have been very difficult if he was in Zambia

I think the mafia have obviously put a lot of money down on him staying and have kidnapped him in order to stop him leaving.

He's landed back in Algeria apparently.

Probably been told by their manager to get his head together for the day and come back when mentally refreshed.

I got my fifth cousin three times removed (from Branigans, Zoots and Ritzy) who works at the Algerian airport to divert him onto the wrong flight and if he can find a club in New Zealand who can afford him then good luck to him!

I have supported Leicester for 45 years but I may have missed something; there are many post in Foxes' Talk.  Who is this Mahrez chap?

Depends if you like having unhappy players at the club or not.

I don't mind if he plays to his potential and gets the move he wants off the back of a very good season with us
