Muzzyfox6 Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 With The Font and Swan and Rushes now closed and Robert Peel becoming rubbish, where on the way to the ground are people drinking this season?
deejdeej Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Locker room is a good sports bar, bit of a walk to the ground though
rn9013 Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 I always travel down on the train and then head into the local hero on the way to the ground. Nothing wrong with it but I'd be open to changing that habit this year if anyone has any suggestions so this could be a good thread for me to keep an eye on.

Tbf counting house is the only one with an atmosphere before the game, unless you fancy the market tavern

That's what puts me off, every time I walk past on the way to the local hero it is nearly always rammed with away fans. Not necessarily a problem but I'd rather not take the risk.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Local hero aint bad, nice when its good weather and they serve you outside
yorkie1999 Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 The bar straight outside the ground, BBQ, beer and a group. Football pubs should always be next to the ground.

Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Broood @ Vin Quatre bottom of New Walk. Every type of beer going, cheap and cared for decent food also. Independently owned and ran, LCFC fans
foxfanazer Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Rainbow and dove. Lovely bunch of fellas and on hot days you're allowed and even encouraged to take your top off

Looks like we'll give The Western a go, as we had planned to one day. Haven't been into the Rutland and Derby for a while. The other one on the same road is either the Blue Boar or Criterion I gues.

Football and Rugby trade was all that was keeping it going, same as the Font. Closed briefly towards the end of last season, there was almost a deal between them and the Font but it fell through and it's closed indefinitely now I believe.

They've done it up since start of last season so a bit more modern. Prices aren't too bad either.
Bayfox Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Swan is due to reopen before the start of the season according to there Twitter
