SystonFox Posted 15 August 2017 Posted 15 August 2017 Nice one. Cheers Claudio for what you helped us achieve. Sorry about the whole snakey thing though yeah?
Wymsey Posted 15 August 2017 Posted 15 August 2017 That's great, good on you. Just shows he's still very much appreciated despite his sacking and what a gentleman he is.

shen Posted 16 August 2017 Posted 16 August 2017 He is such a likeable person. It was anti-climactic the way things turned out, but I am happy he achieved what he did here. Let's face it, his career trajectory didn't exactly point upwards when he joined so I'm sure he appreciates that season as much as all of us. Top stuff Dean with the album, he looks genuinely appreciative
WigstonWanderer Posted 16 August 2017 Posted 16 August 2017 A true gentleman, gave us all something I doubt anyone expected.

GaelicFox Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 The day he was sacked was the day football romance was dead for ever those responsible will not have thier names uttered in 100 years time but Claudio in a 1000 years will always be remembered for being the cool calm collected man who guided Leicester City FC to a 5000-1 sporting miracle ! I miss you everyday Don Claudio every day
smr Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 Aw thats beautiful. I've come over in goosebumps looking at the photo of Claudio looking through the book. Well done for the effort Dean, very good work, the charity point, book and the gesture to Claudio. Class.

I'm please to confirm that I manage to spent 20 mins with Claudio with my son Dan on Saturday morning to give him his book with your messages before training. We then watched the match Vs Marseille He thought it was 'fantastic' and that I was to thank everybody. I have attached a coupe of photo's. I have just transfer £1211.67 to the Leicester Childerens hospital charity which Claudio nominated to receive the funds. If you ever get a chance to go to Nantes, I thoroughly recommend it, it is a beautiful place. Thank you everyone for you support, messages and donations. Dean Hawthorne (left) @dean023 you sent a link to a PDF of the book a while ago and I couldn't open it. I did mail you but no reply. Can you share the link again at all?

KingsX Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Fantastic work all round Dean, but who would have foreseen Claudio's record since your OP here: 5W, 1D, 0L !! What can you put together for Shakey? Say within two weeks?

Sionnach gorm Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Ranieri is a coach who in his life has collected far less than he has sown. Perhaps his resigned style and his humility have made him a little less desirable for the masses, but he is an extremely well trained and experienced coach and manager. In short, this won a coppa Italia, came fourth with a weak Fiorentina, when the Serie A was a serious thing, won Coppa del Rey with Valencia, reached a Champions' semifinals and a second place in the Premier League with a Chelsea not rightly phenomenal, came third with a disastrous Juventus, second with a grungy Rome two points from a fierce Inter, won the Premier with an unlikely team against billionaire teams, and recently has taken a mediocre Nantes team to their best start than anyone alive can remember. The problem is that big teams have always called him in an emergency situation without giving him real support. I would like to see Ranieri with a team like PSG, Real or Barcelona. I think he deserves it. Unfortunately, it will never happen.
