It has been treated as a joke competition for years.

No it hasn't or Man City wouldn't have won it twice in three years along with Chelsea. It also gives you qualification for the Europa league. How is that a joke competition? Not forgetting man Utd this year

Oh so they've played their full teams in the early rounds have they? Or so you happen to have mentioned two teams with the most expensively assembled reserve teams in the history of football.

 

The competition has been shown nothing but contempt by almost every team around. Even championship teams make almost a whole teams worth of changes, as Sheffield United have done.

Not much choice, too many injuries at the moment.

Any team with Maguire Fuchs Ndidi Gray and Slimani in should do fine, regardless of the opposition. My only comment would be Fuchs as centre back is still weird. Over reliance on Ndidi is a worry.

Sheff Utd's line up isn't all that great either to be fair. Whoever said this is the worst team we have ever put out must have only been following us since 2015.
