They don't need to play there strongest teams in the early rounds. Like it or not, our second string is not in the same league as the teams I've mentioned. If we want to qualify for Europe next year then we need to play a strong side early doors. If you think that the Championship side we're playing tonight won't take it seriously then your mistaken. This is a banana skin just waiting to happen!

They've taken it so seriously that they have made 8 changes. As ive said above nobody takes it seriously until the later rounds. The club would rather use it to give reserves a run out. Like it or not, it's all about the premier league.

He'd have had loads more opportunities to play there if so.
