lifted*fox Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 kind of meh but can't be upset at pulling a PL side early on - if you're gonna win it then you're gonna have to beat whatever ends up in front of you. it's at home so maybe a tifo and a decent atmosphere and we can get under their skin and give them a good hiding - just like the last time we played them here.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 It's a decent draw, home tie and like others have said this won't be high on the agenda for them with everything else they've got going on - AND it's a chance to get a big club out early doors, the more of which do go out the better for us in the long term

It just seems every season, although quite consistent - their defence has often let them down in getting further success. - Expecting this one to be goals-galore imo.

Guest Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Hate how people are talking about playing a "big" team. Liverpool haven't won much in forever and we're Prem champs year before last. Surprised that Liverpool are going to put out a 2nd or 3rd string against us as others said. I've watched their defensive display this and last season, if they had a 2nd or 3rd string set of defenders they'd be playing by now. Hope they do put out a weakened team so that we can beat them 6-0 as opposed to 4-2.

Seems to be a Liverpool 'thing' with all this being on first name terms with managers and 'Boss' banners. Barton had it right.... 'Giant German cheerleader'.

They'll want it full for the cameras. Still think we'll struggle to sell.
