Nalis Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Happy enough. Our team at Sheff Utd would beat the Liverpool 2nd/3rd team they will inevitably play given their Champions League jaunts this season.
Koke Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Shit draw. We got Chelsea in the 3rd round last season and now bloody Liverpool. We play Liverpool twice in 4 days.
rn9013 Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Not a good tie imo. Wanted the easiest possible because I think we have a realistic chance of winning this cup. European football to the winner too. Bit of a shame to get Liverpool.
EastAnglianFox Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Id usually be proper annoyed at that draw but as mentioned above there is not a chance Liverpool are going to risk any big boys playing due to more important commitments. If we approach seriously and want to win then I think we will have more than enough.

Weird how often that happens with cup draws, teams drawing the opposition they've got the weekend before or after.

jonthefox Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 We'll win it. Liverpool have got bigger fish to fry this season.
irishfoxkev Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Could have been easier draw but on plus side I'd think there is a fair chance we will be picked as live match on TV ...Good news for us overseas supporters ???. That been said haven't seen the full draw so may be juicier matches for TV.
SemperEadem Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 A few days before playing them in the league. Reckon this will be another tele pic.
Kalacs_Orthopedic_Shoe Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 We'll beat these in a thriller to only draw Arsenal away...Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Nick Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 We really are Liverpool's bogey side - I reckon we could win this.
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 If Shakey picks a half decent side think we should be ok as should imagine we'll be playing the Liverpool youth team .
Simi Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Would rather play Liverpool earlier than later in this competition, later it goes the more they will sniff a trophy. As said. we have a balanced team we can put it out than can put away what they will throw out.
Devonfox1884 Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Gives us a good chance at knocking out a top 6 side in a draw that has seen the other big clubs handed largely easy ties. Could be worse.
lgfualol Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Not ideal but I'm used to us getting a tough draw early in the cups. Man Utd in an easy draw shocker. Even if we do get to the final it will probably be played in China at 4am UK time.
weller54 Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 We haven't drawn Liverpool... We've drawn a Liverpool XI.. Such a devalued competition and the F A Cup isn't far behind in terms of importance these days... Such a shame.
sk3since03 Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Not too fussed about the draw! Although i'd like to see us go far the carbohohuhuzulu cup, i'd prefer a good run in FA cup this season.
MC Prussian Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 Somewhat mixed feelings about this draw. I'm glad we can play them at home and if we should beat them, I think we'd have a decent chance of going places in the League Cup. It's going to be a welcome challenge. However, I don't think Liverpool are going to take this competition lightly now. Klopp will get his boys fired up for the visit to the King Power, I'm sure of that. They took Hoffenheim apart in the Champions League qualifiers and I bet the Reds will want to take any chance available to win a trophy this season. Clash of ambitions.
Finnegan Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 As everyone else has said, Klopp plays the academy in these games and that was before he had the CL. We'll win comfortably if we don't **** about.
