Good win today...Leicester Tigers 24-18 Saracens

Made bloody hard work of it in the end but the defence was awesome for what looked to be 3 certain tries

Surprise no one has mentioned that Tigers required a cash injection last week from two board members as they had a cash flow issue and faced administration.

They’ve been some murmurs in quarters that things aren’t amazing financially

Just been reading about this. Sounds like a cash flow problem. Fingers crossed for a good run in Europe and final four qualification to bring in some extra revenue. Have to wonder though; if we are struggling how are the smaller clubs holding on. Really don’t like where all of this is going.

Presume this has something to do with losing the home fixtures wasps and Worcester.

but that means we’re sailing close to the wind which as you say, poses questions about others.

was there decent compensation from the RFU for our coaching team ?

That was the reasoning cited by the club.

Understood they got a £1million for the coaching team.

They aren't helping themselves in some areas; a lot of disgruntled fans about the ticketing pricing/organisation for the next round of the European Cup. Friday night fixture too.

Tigers have usually looked out well for their Housekeeping

( one of the best in Europe )… God help others if we are hitting a wall.

( Wasps,Worcester)..

Tigers usually old school on things like compensation…Let outside whispers do their own talking, Tigers will carry on their own way…

Really seeing the class now that Pollard brings at 10.  Given that, barring himself and maybe Harry Potter who would be first choices, he’s got a lot of first choice backs to return to play with him soon and he’ll look even better.

First choice backline would probably be

JVP, Pollard, Kelly, Porter, Potter, Watson, Steward.

I agree Pollard now he’s fit is another class to Burns/Atkinson. Can’t wait to see him wity

Mad to look back at the posts from earlier this season where it just felt like a complete write off. Have to say I think we are more entertaining to watch than we were last season as well.

That World Class core of Montoya, Wiese and Pollard is the key. All three of them were missing at a couple of stages during the season and now they are all back firing the difference is enormous.  With the quality England players back now we are going to be an extremely hard side to beat. Sale won’t want to be playing us in the play off semis.

Outstanding performance(s) today and especially through the 6N where I thought we would come unstuck but the recruiting of the squad bulk players at the time like Cracknell, who now is not just there to make up numbers & particularly Brown what a piece of business that was, to have him as cover for Steward & then Watson saw us through the 6N.

As for style I agree, we all know the historic foundations of our play; scrum, set play, kicking but now we are flinging it ball in hand which is 1 thing I was always slightly jealous of with some of the other clubs that do it well, now thou we have found that sweat spot of being able to mix it.

Not sure if we can say that’s simply down to having an ex-back as a coach, I did think when he was named that he would try to incorporate a bit more backs play with fast hands & runners etc, or is it having Pollard who is World class and now fit and firing on all cylinders is such a fantastic orchestrator & Im starting to forget 1 of my favourite players in Ford, well what ever it is long may it continue!

Watson about 95% to be off; he’s taking offers from France and Japan. One of the major casualties of the salary cap

Ollie Hassell-Collins is meant to be coming in, so all adds up.
