Not for sale apparently

Yeah Arsenal surely can't afford to lose more players. We need to go all out for Sakho or Gibson.

Boro had a ten man defence in most games!

They also conceded the fewest goals outside of the top ten, with a defence that Chambers was a key player in. Your point was that we shouldn't go for him cos they were relegated - doesn't mean anything, does it? As Harry Maguire has shown so far.

People wanking themselves silly over Ben Gibson but turning their nose up at this signing are very strange indeed.

Will always remember him getting completely destroyed by Montero. Completely run him all over the place & Chambers didnt have a clue. Perhaps not the best at RB.

Are we really judging a player by 1 poor game 3 years ago when he was still a teenager?

I wasn't judging, I think him and HM could be a good pairing personally. He just hasnt been in the spotlight much.

People saying he's shit, did anyone watch him last season?

Got a mate who's a Boro STH and said he was excellent. Would be a good addition playing alongside Maguire - both young and English too.

Don't really know the player much, but if Shakey wants him then hopefully it's a good move.

If reports are that we offered £20m and Arsenal want £27m, then surely, on deadline day, you either splash out or go home.

Chambers is quality; had he joined Spurs instead of Arsenal in 2014 he'd be regarded as England's best young defender by now. Wenger kills British potential - see Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ox...

He was the classier of the two next to Gibson last season, and again for the u21s in the summer next to Mawson. He's very Terry-Esque and he'll show it; him and Maguire could form a proper partnership for the best part of the next decade.

That's not how we roll Jon.

We will just go home and forego the splashing out.

He was so good that he was loaned out to Middlesbrough and was behind Mertesacker , Holding and Mustafi at Arsenal!

Serge Aurier who is a world class right back goes to Tottenham for £23m and we might end up spending £50m on Townsend and Chambers.

This demonstrates the benefit of having a savvy DoF.
