I have been critical. It was clear he didn't have the needed experience and connections a few seasons ago, but I'd imagine winning the league and the CL experience meant that he was able to make a load of connections, and we now have a much better idea of what it takes to get a signing over the line. So, congratulations! A very good window indeed. The challenge now is to manage the talent, play they in effective formations and keep players 'happy'. A big task. We know CS has played the role of keeping players onside under NP, so I hope he is able to use that experience to (re)build our famous team spirit.

Not only the business we did. But we put in decent bids for Evans, Gibson and Chambers; whilst rejecting a substantial bids for Gray.

Top bombing!

Keeper, 2 CBs ,CM and attacker. Almost an excellent transfer window apart from the RB we most desperately need.

See you all jump to conclusions don't you.

I've just been told he phoned in sick yesterday morning.

It seems Doris the tea lady filled in for him yesterday.

Tea white and two sugars please rudders.

I wonder who'd play RB if Simpson got a long-term injury?

Amartey is OK as a stop-gap for a game or two, but wouldn't fancy him at RB for a long run.

Pulling Albrighton back to RB (or wing back in a changed system) and playing Gray & Mahrez on the wings is the alternative, I presume.

As a positive, I suppose it gives Amartey and Gray more hope of getting in the side, so might help keep them positive....

Not a bad window, provided Silva is confirmed and Mahrez remains committed (if only to secure a good move in January or next summer).

Not a fan of last minute rushing. I thought clubs had learnt that over recent years. Still, the squad is in tact and the players brought in look promising.

Not ready yet, but the next Ryan Bertrand? - can play at both CB and FB

Absolutely peak Leicester, acting the big man and stalling on a sale until we get the replacement in, before promptly messing about and failing to get the replacement after sanctioning the sale.

Is that Darnell Johnson?

I'm clueless about our upcoming youngsters - don't have the time to follow youth/development squads.

I like to see the odd youth player break through, so hope you're right - and hope an injury to Simmo doesn't cause him to be thrown in too early (though management probably wouldn't do that, anyway).

We lost a key player..  his replacement is a gamble.  I hope we dobt regret it.

Liverpool dud a great job in keeping cortinho.  I wish we had been resolute and clear

Yeah, although played as CB for England's triumphant U.19s this summer - Came on for Benny after that awful tackle at Burton and looked superb...although his strong performances for his country are more conclusive than a pre season friendly. Can play at RB but not his favoured position and currently way off the first team though...so bit of a pointless post really. One to watch though and a huge prospect for us.
