Q1. Doesn't "sports entertainment" imply that the intent is to provide entertainment via the medium of sport just as "adult entertainment" implies entertainment using the medium of grown ups ? 

 

Q2. Can the term "sports entertainment" validly be applied to holding a Leicester City 24/25 season ticket (I'm thinking "blood sport" might be more apt) ?

I think these things always feel a bit gatekeepy. But golf cricket or baseball are hardly non-stop athletic events either and are widely considered sports for historical reasons. So I have no problem considering some of those things sport.

I dislike the Traitors, and can't see what all the fuss is about. It's just a bunch of folk playing up to the cameras, looking for publicity and potential media contracts and talking rubbish most of the time.

This the first series you've seen? I thought the first two were outstanding, but this year seems packed with "do it for the 'gram" prats. Guess they needed to mix the characters of the contestants this year to stop it appearing repetitive or stale.

This type of show is always destined to become stale. The format is always the same, there's nothing different or interesting or novel than the first series which was interesting different and novel. Now it's the same every time and "contestants" have taken the opportunity to give themselves some TV time. They're just dull. It's just dull.

 

The same can be said about any other reality TV series. Unless you're a bit of an airhead.
